They fit nicely for rtw. I would absolutely ask their advice for sizing. I sent them my measurements and different shoes are different sizes depending on the lasts.

Subscribed today. Amazing content. I am really interested in either a pair from AM or Zonkey Boot. On their site, you can tell that Zonkey Boot employs a professional photographer who makes their shoes look absolutely stunning. But from your experience, which brand wins on the quality and looks department?

The styles and lasts are quite different between the two. I’d say both have fantastic quality leathers and both are well made but Zonkey quality is basically like the first tier of Meccariello. His Argentum and Aurum are significant steps up. Now significant in the world of shoes is still pretty small. But ZB had wide flat waists and rigid heels. So does Edward Green. Does that matter to you? It’s all about the value you place on it. With Meccariello Aurum it’s really bespoke level but you’re also paying a lot more. If you’re new in the space I’d start with one of his entry lines. His is called the Roma collection. Argentum is not much higher priced than ZB and is worth the upgrade. As you keep reading about it you’ll learn that ZB uses an outside factory instead of their own, where AM is just their own. I know from talking with the owners that ZB is heavily involved so I usually discount this. And both pairs I have are fantastic but since this goes beyond branding and into artisanship that may be a difference for you. Good luck and share what you decide and your experience.
