I adore bonanza I seen every episode all 14 seasons all 431 episodes very happy cbs is finally releasing seasons 12-14 been a long wait over the years. I had collected seasons 1-11 as they released so I’ll be buying the last 3 seasons separately. This complete series boxset looks gorgeous!

Every single episode of BONANZA in this collection -- the only official one available (from Paramount - CBS Home Entertainment) in N. America -- has been digitally remastered and restored from original 35mm film elements. In most cases, the original camera negatives. This is HUGE. It means every episode looks like it was filmed yesterday. And it's on DVD because DVD is the best-selling disc format. Because all the episodes have been re-mastered into a digital, high-definition format, they are "Blu-Ray ready," and maybe, if DVD sales are good, we will see a Blu-Ray release down the road But if you have a DVD-Blu-Ray player capable of upscaling and a hi-definition television screen, these shows will all look fantastic. Second point: Yep, gramps will know and love this series from his youth -- and grandma, and mom and pop, too -- it's a genuine television classic. The single most popular and successful television series on the planet for the decade of the 1960s. Period. And it is truly timeless -- appealing to all who appreciate classic television and movies. In fact, with its high production values and much outdoor location filmed in the states of California, Arizona and Nevada, each BONANZA episode looks like a mini-movie! So fans of all ages (including fans of older Michael Landon, who just know him from "Little House" and "Highway") will really appreciate this set. With great stories (spanning the gamut from classic Western drama, action/adventure, romance, comedy, even fantasy), acting (the regulars are terrific, and the guests a Who's Who of Hollywood), cinematography, directing (from the likes of Robert Altman, Tay Garnet, Jacques Tourneur, William Witney and Michael Landon himself), and music (from Emmy and Academy Award winning composers David Rose and Harry Sukman, and one of the most iconic theme songs ever, by multiple Academy Award winners Jay Livingston and Ray Evans) each BONANZA is a gem, and this collection is truly the best. I have got to tell you that I am a huge Bonanza fan and became one when I was only 24 years old. Back then, 1999, I had a VCR and I would set it to record the show because it came on when I was at work. I would get home in the evenings and watch that day’s episode, every day. I not only watched the show but I collected Bonanza memorabilia from eBay. I spent a lot of money on that show over the years. I even transferred all my VCR tapes to DVDs because video tape was going out of style. I was never happy with those because at best the video/audio quality was around 7/10. Now over the past few years I moved on to other interests and didn’t really pay much mind to Bonanza after that. But when I heard about this box set, all my excitement for the show came back. To me this is my Holy Grail after all the time and effort I put into this series. Ok I’m done and everybody can laugh at me now but I don’t care😅

I just got this for my mom as of the day this message was written (Wed., May 31, 2023), as I have already also gotten both 'Little House on the Prairie-The Complete Series' (the one with the 'Little House' packaging), as well as 'Highway to Heaven-The Complete Series' for her. She's a HUGE Michael Landon mark, and this will finally give her possession of the entire 'NBC Michael Landon Triple Crown', with 'Bonanza-The Official Complete Series' being the final jewel in that collection. And I consider this to be a bonus Mother's Day 2023 gift for her, as I already got 'The Legend of Zelda-Tears of the Kingdom' for Mother's Day proper. =)

@@BrandonPetersShow I'll tell you though, Brandon, that it is right to celebrate Michael's legacy with NBC by making sure everything that he did with them is out there, in pristine condition, on physical home media like this. Streaming is nice, but physical media is probably a slightly better way to keep that legacy alive. There is room for BOTH models out there, and I'm hoping that content distributors and owners can wake up and realize that. o.o

@@RaginRonic COMPLETELY AGREE! I think it’s definitely in a place of evolving right now. We are seeing both bigger studios and bigger titles being sub licensed out to distributors who give them the time and care they aren’t willing to give.

Wonder if they will release it on Blu-ray? I have the first 11 seasons and am torn between getting season12,13,and 14 or getting the complete series hate to duplicate the first 11 but also would miss the bonus disc.🙀

I would suggest those love this show, keep box and buy new cases for each season and plastic boxes and labels. Pluse print episode put in folder.

It also contains some RARE content from the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, or the CBC, Canada's government owned-and-operated public broadcaster, which will give owners of this in the U.S. a shot to see and hear some things from CBC Radio and CBC Television. Yes. BONANZA was filmed in color from the first frame in 1959 until the last episode filmed aired in 1973.

Correct. Latin American Spanish audio track for seasons 9 -14 only. Lo siento. (Not available for seasons 1 -8, unfortunately. Those earlier seasons are English, only.)
