WOW BEAUTIFUL new plants from 'The Cactus shop' Claire :-D thats a shame that they arrived damp, but they all look really healthy, stunning new additions you have got, I LOVE them all, I have bought from 'The Cactus shop' before and they have a fantastic selection of plants, sadly now due to the awful Northern Ireland protocol after Brexit, they are no longer allowed to post plants to Northern Ireland from mainland U.K, thanks so much for sharing the fantastic unboxing of your gorgeous new beauties with us, and Hans and I are sending you and Jack lots of love and happiness and PLANT POWER for a super Sunday today XXXX

Well Claire, I'd say you were lucky!!! Looks like the package got left in the rain!!! Or they watered them right before sending!! Beautiful plants!!! Might want to watch the spot on the crestie, never know when something wet might go sour. I would change the soil too especially after seeing the mold on the surface. Good idea if not just for prevention. I think after a good drying they should all be fine!!! Thanks for sharing your nice new plants!!! I hope they will all be ok. Nice selection of cactus. I’m amazed how they managed to ship the Selenicereus grandiflorus with the long segments not breaking. I love your E. Pectinifera. I still can’t tell it’s difference with the rigidissimus. I’m starting to wonder which one I have now. ☺️

The good thing about the Selenicereus is it'll take root easily, it's not the bendiest of stems 😄 I was a bit amiss about the Echinocereus too, I looked up the name and (I think) they are basically the same, but perhaps the label or grower/supplier was using the older name. But I do believe there's something about the spines, something about a central spine, whether there is or isn't one, it's very confusing, but at least it's got pink spines... 🤣 Yours are exceptionally nice ones! The coloured cacti is really pretty. I am sure I had one of them at one time until the mealy bugs moved in.

You were lucky to have had one of those pink spined cactus, definitely not one commonly see in most stores or even in garden centres! I bet it definitely did get eaten by mealy bugs, they seem to kill cactus more than spider miles, I personally think. I hope this one survives 😊👍🏻🎃🌵🐈‍⬛🦇🍂🍁🕷

most spiders are good to have in plants i use them as plan police to keep bugs away

I do have few resident house spiders that have made their Jones amongst my drip trays on my shelf racking... I certainly think they help 😊👍🏻🌵
