First, great video, thanks for uploading. Looking to purchase a kit however there are so many out there at the moment. 10w, 20w, 32w etc I assume its all to do with power/brightness. As you have installed the 32w kit, do you use the full brightness or have then dimmed down? Have you installed different size fibres to make the sky light look more realistic? Many thanks.

Ja das Licht ist dimmbar (bis es fast aus ist - schätze ca. 10 Stufen) Durch das selbe Loch habe ich nie mehrere gesteckt. Ich habe einfach mehre Löcher in einem kleineren Bereich gebohrt. Dass die Lichter unterschiedlich hell sind, ist dank dem "Twinkle" Effekt. Dadurch werden manche Glasfasern verschieden hell beleuchtet.

The more heat there is the more cracks the fiber optics get and then the amount of light passing through the fiber optics reduces overtime . Probably should have installed some kind of heat protection sticker on the roof of the car before installing

This will most like be different in every car. This is why i did not show. Also installing Power is just plugging into Car Power Outlet (car lighter socket). Since i wanted a cleaner and more permament solution, i just cut the wire and connected to my car lighter socket from the back. Just solder to + and - cable.

Yes you can keep off during driving, but you can also turn down the light, so you barley notice it. Normal use it is not more intrusive than ambient light of Audi BMW or Mercedes.

I took of the Plasik covers of my D-Pillar and went down in my trunk. [On the left side (and also right side) i have a storage compartment for First Aid, and other stuff]. I rolled the rest of the fibers so they would fit in there, used two cable ties and put the Light/Motor also in there. You can barely see the compartment at 2:34 on the left side. This is problably different for each car. But the Star Light set i bought from the brand Chinly had a lot of cable lenght, so i could have easily went further in the trunk (for eample in the spare tire region).

Das kannst du leicht checken: Ich habe 2x Zigarettenanzünder im Kofferraum, diese sind zusammen mit einer 20 Ampere Sicherung abgesichert. (Da Hilft die Bedienungsanleitung deines Autos zum Sicherungskasten). Vom Netzteil @0:31 abgelesen, sieht man, dass das Gerät maximal 3A braucht. Somit kann man sagen, dass die Kabel im Auto das leicht aushalten, sonst hätte der Autohersteller da keine 20A Sicherung verbaut. Jetzt sollte man natürlich nicht zu dünne Kabel verwenden, wenn man vom Zigarettenanzünder zum Lichtmotor geht. Generell kann man auch einfach das Netzteil aufmachen und den Holstecker mit Kabel auslöten / oder einfach abschneiden und dieses Kabel verwenden, denn dass hält die 3A auch aus. Ich hoffe das hilft dir und allen anderen, die sich das gefragt haben! Beste Grüße und Danke für den Kommentar!

Das ging nur mit etwas Umwegen: 1. bin ich auf die Seite: www.meinfoto.de/configurator-starmap.jsf?product=2240&new 2. Datum und Ort eingeben 3. Sternbilder "aus" und Bild auf "Schwarz" stellen 4. das Bild mit STRG + Scrollrad vergrößern und per Screenshot speichern 5. Das erstelle Screenshot-Bild in Vollbild mit Beamer auf den Dachhimmel projizieren und die Sterne mit Edding markieren. Hoffe das hilft :)

I did not glue it and it still holds quite good. I have seen/read about people using Sprayglue or Hotglue. Sprayglue is probably the faster method than using Hotglue on each Fiber.

Danke! Also man kann einen Farbwechsel anmachen, sodass die Farben von einer zu anderen sanft wechseln. Das bedeutet aber, stoppt man an einer stelle, hat man immer nur eine Farbe. Mit meinem Set ist es also nicht möglich, dass gleichzeitig einige "Sterne" Gelb und die anderen Blau leuchten. Falls du so ein Set findest kannst du ja mal ein Link posten, vielleicht interessiert das andere genauso :)

Eine einfache Möglichkeit wäre jedoch, zwei oder mehrere Engines gleichzeitig zu verwenden und die Fasern durcheinander einzubauen. Hier ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/boinhmuvfb2opM0 ) sind es z.B. 3 Engines gleichzeitig.

Ich habe den Lichtfaserstrang hinter der Verkleidung der linken D Säule in meinen Kofferraum laufen lassen. Die Fasern hinter der Verkleidung laufen zu lassen war bei mir kein Problem, da war immer genug Platz. Unter meiner D-Säle habe ich relativ viel Verkleidung und ein großes Fach für erste Hilfe, Warndreieck und Warnwesten. Das Fach selber sieht man im Video leider nicht. Jedoch kann man bei @2:34 links und rechts die beiden Fächer erahnen. Die restlichen Glasfasern habe ich mit Kabelbinder zusammengerollt und alles zusammen in dieses Fach gelegt - ist damit alles super verstaut. Wäre dieses Fach nicht da gewesen, hätte ich mit den 5 Meter aber auch noch genug Länge gehabt um komplett in den Kofferraum zu gehen. Z.B. zum Reserverad. Hoffe das Hilft. Beste Grüße

Yes this also has Music Mode. It will listen with Microphone and change light according to Music/Beat. Works ok but i do not like it too much, since it will "flash". I like twinkle effect way more.
