Level Six really cares about the details, and their customers. I wouldn't bet my life on some unknown knock-off even if it were free. If you cannot afford a proper dry suit, get a wetsuit and keep saving, or just limit your outings to warmer water. Too bad for anyone who gets fooled by this counterfeit nonsense.

This is important to know since a poor quality drysuit could cost you your life. An authorized retailer can offer you a lot of support when buying a drysuit. I’ve shared this video with my kayaking group. The pressure test summed it up well.

Thanks for doing this, I almost hate that you helped them get better at building drysuits by explaining stuff to them, but I get it. They also will never be able to replicate what you do given their lack of time in the space and unwillingness to invest in the better materials. There are legitimate retailers on Amazon that carry branded drysuits. Outdoorplay for instance. It's just another distribution channel.

yeah idk why hes saying half the price. Ali express has them for $200 and people have used them for a season and pressure tested them. They develop pinhole leaks but so do the name brands.

Hi Peter, we do sell through amazon to at least have some control over the listings. This particular suit didn't use "Level Six" in the name of the product listing on amazon, they used our images. So if you were looking quickly on first glance you might not have noticed that the product title was actually King Proof Q Dry Suit.

ive seen the same suit for sale on ali for 222€ wich to be honest doesnt seem that bad its seems like a great suit for calmer waters in cold weather or for people who are new to the sports and dont feel like spending to much money on something they might quit afther a not to long ofcourse if you are going to go on more dangerouse trips dont try and save a couple hunderd dollar on essential safety equipment like your suit

So it's not a counterfeit drysuit afterall. The seller simply sent you a cheaper, different one. Possibly in error. Possibly not. From a legal point of view, just as well you haven't identified the manufacturer. Why not be honest and simply have an ad with you highlighting the advantanges of level six over cheaper suits? Crossing the line for me on this one I'm afraid.

The real Emperor is a level 6. The counterfeit one is a level 0.6. Also the level 0.6 is made on authentic Indonesian Archipelago slave ships. You do want authentic counterfeit products don't you? Especially ones that suck, right?

@@LevelSixInc Thanks for the reply. It is good that you have cleared that up as in the video it appears as if you do not sell on Amazon by the comments at 16:30. People need to read the full listing before they purchase any product on line but I feel it is best to attend a bricks and mortar store to see the products and get expert advice.

unpopular belief: In the end your suit was created by Chinese, with their own tools, and with the help of their designers who turned your vision and your designs into an actual product. If there is an optimal way to do it, then why should they do it differently now? If you feel like they are undercutting you it's perhaps because you insist on having a supernatural profit (to cover all those years you put in etc. bla bla ). This is especially true when you outsource all of your production, then you should be content with say 20% extra to cover for risk & interest of your investment. You can't even be mad, as the market grows there is demand for cheaper suits and if you can't deliver they will. This is just an opinion of a simple Eastern European. I was planning to buy the cheapest drysuit in Decathlon for 350 euros, but now I'm also checking on Alibaba. Thanks for pointing this one out.

The fake is a stolen design, compromised by cutting corners and using inferior materials and components. It leaks like a sieve and it's already falling apart. If this is what you want, you really are simple. Hope you like hypothermia.

I've tried to report counterfeits to Amazon more than a few times. They don't want to know. I bought a sewing machine from "Janome" via Amazon. I was new to sewing so it took me a couple of months to figure out it wasn't me, the machine was out of adjustment. I called Janome, life time warranty. "We don't sell on Amazon." I had to pay $200 to fix a $300 machine (that had probably been sold as surplus). I complained to Amazon -- the listing advertised lifetime warranty. All they did was require the crooked seller to change their name to "Brand: Janome." I think the best way to deal with this is to have a company presence on Amazon, then go after the fakes. Going after them from outside will probably just get you stonewalled from Amazon. Bottom line: Be extremely cautious buying anything from Amazon. The fakes, broken products, etc are numerous. Even real companies like Honeywell sell broken products, bad products you won't see in a store. I buy a lot of stuff from Amazon, it's about as safe as buying on the street. I've been shopping for a dry suit for sailing in the higher latitudes. It's been nothing but a hassle. This video goes a long way to explaining why there are so many that are $500.
