Liked your live unboxing and testing things out. I hope you were able to resolve the power issue. Mine arrived this week and so far good, but haven't tested other brands yet . I have sizzix machines and you have to work with each brand to see if you need a shim or not. Good job on the video, you remained so calm congratulations on handling the unexpected.

Kathy Humphrey thanks for watching!🤓🤓 HSN did replace it. The mini is fabulous! Although I used to fully love the Gemini, my favorite is The big Empress. I use Grand Caliber plates in it. Works fabulously.

It's more than a year later but I just stumbled across your video tonight and I wanted to thank you for taking the time to do the unboxing and setting up the mini. I've been curious about the black mat. The white mat that came with my larger Empress is a mess. The older cuts in the mat leave an impression on the paper that I'm trying to cut so I've been looking for videos that show the black one.

Love it! Now before I order the big one, can you do a demo with the large Spellbinders steel rule dies? I’ll get it if it takes those humongous dies. What I love about it is that you don’t have to hold on to it to pass through. I love that hands-free function! But yes please do one with the big machine. Thank you 😊 hugs! 😘😘😘

Return it because of the power issues. As for the Tonic dies, I have had problems with a number of their dies. I don’t think they cut as well as other brands.

cardstockcollector it’ll go back My Tonic dies cut well. Word dies are typically harder.

I think I would make a center line both vertical and horizontal on magnetic sheet so centering easier.

Laura Stout yes. The big one is good for large dies etc. however, when you want to cut something small or only need one or two cuts, it’s annoying using the big one.

LOL Girl, its cute but the struggle was real. Was not impressed woth how it cut the tonic die, have u tried positioning the die vertical vs horizontal? Tho imo it should cut either way lol, tfs ur experience w the machine. 😊😊

Jami, when Anna presented this she said to put the cut side down and cut into the magnet that it would emboss and cut at the same time. Whenever she demoed it that is how she did it. I know I was like WHAT?! I think that’s why the magnet is strong and thick. Go back and watch her presentation. Such a bummer you gotta defective one. You need to exchange it. Maybe it doesn’t have all the power it needs to get the good cut. I still haven’t gotten mine yet hopefully today. I so wanted the bag and dust cover, it is me 😍 sold out! I am disappointed, I really want to LOVE this..... I will let you know how it goes with mine.

Lisa Relova you can cut either. She does both ways. It depends on what result you want. Since I wasn’t embossing, no need to cut into the magnetic mat.

I’m loving my mini empress except that I wish the width would be a little wider than the 4-1/4” as some of her frame dies are 5”. I didn’t have the power issues that you are unfortunately having. 🙁

I just bought a Gemini Jr at my weekend craft event and I haven't tried it yet and now I want to run up and try it. I guess with electronic you can have those problems. Never had a problem with my Cuttlebug in 13 years but there is problem getting plates now.

Liz Nixon, Cuttlebug was discontinued this past Spring. Try Tuesday Morning store, I found my B-plates there. Good Luck.

Kimbo Kreations I called hsn and told them the problem. They sent me a new one. I just pulled it out to play today. So far it’s working so I’ll be shipping the other back to them this week.

Omg that was my birthday and I missed it ... Don’t you have genmni from craters companion ? I got a big shot plus for my birthday 😊 from my mom. But it’s a crank one I think. If you flip plate each time and only scratch one plate and Linsey the froglets craft said run under hot water to straighten them. Ok good luck with it TFS

YOUR MACHINE IS DEFINITELY HAVING CORD CONNECTION AND POWER PROBLEMS. I HAVE SEEN OTHER LADIES SHOWING THIS MACHINE WITH NO PROBLEMS. IT LOOKS LIKE A PAPER SHIM NEEDS TO BE USED WHEN DOING THE WORD DIES. I AM STILL WAITING FOR MINE TO ARRIVE AND I SO HOPE I DO NOT HAVE THE SAME ISSUES.

You are always putting something on top of the machine. You need to elevate it so nothing hits those switches. It's not a work horse like the larger ones. There might be a short, but you can't keep pressing buttons over and over with machines, especially if they have any memory components. Every time you touch a switch it remembers and can lock up, and you keep presses all those switches over and over. Try clearing all the space around it, and remove all that clutter. Put it on a lift, maybe a small box. And stop putting plates on top of the machine. We can see it shutting off when a plate hit the switches. Sorry, but it is obvious that it turns off when something hits those buttons.
