@@HW-Aquascaping it’s great people like you take time to do something like this . Really helps people, I watched it about 18 months ago didn’t leave a comment or like. I came back as I’m setting a tank up in my son’s bedroom. This time I took the time to thank you as it’s so handy. Plus I liked and subscribed. Lol well done.

Very detailed, thank you. My two tips/queries are: You need to prime the tube - ie run the pump until there are no more pockets of air coming out - before you calibrate the pump or start using it. As you still had air pockets at the end of the video you definitely need to calibrate again (although you probably already have). Are you confident that the fertiliser you’re using will last over a year in contact with the air? Maybe you checked with the manufacturer. I would have put one bottle in, and kept the rest sealed, I’m sure the app can remind you when you need to put another one in. Hope it goes well for you, I’m sure it will make your tank even more stable and successful! Don’t forget to make an update video in 6/12 months on how reliable you’ve found the little pump!!

Thank you so much for your comment/tips. I didn’t realise about the air pockets but it all appears to be sorted now. I’ve recalibrated it this morning and it was still spot on on dosing at least so that’s good. And the manufacture seems to believe that it would be fine as it is in a decanter so has had limited exposure to oxygen. However if not I will go from using one bottle at a time. I will do an update video on this product at some point in the future. Once again thank you for your comment 😊👍💚

Hi, where did you get the check valves from and what size are they? Great video 😊
@davidashley39702 жыл бұрын
Great video, one query, the instructions say "the unit should be installed higher than the sump but not directly above water, to prevent siphoning " yet yours is below the sump? Can you shed any thoughts on that please 🙏
@HW-Aquascaping Жыл бұрын
I’ll be honest I never read the instructions to great detail however, My fertiliser sump is lower than the dosing pump but that is still lower than the overall aquarium itself. But I have had no issues with back-siphoning or anything like that. I would probably put that down to the fact the fertiliser is always present in the tube as the pump doesn’t allow it to travel back to the reservoir. So I’d just say make sure your reservoir is always has some fertiliser in it and you should have no issues. The TMC ones is great as it takes it directly from the bottom so doesn’t need to be that full to always have some in to prevent this. But that said this is just my case of using it and this may vary through usage. Hope this helps 😊💚

Hi, thanks for last reply. I've now set mine up but I am constantly getting air bubbles that I can't clear (I note yours was similar on the input line) just wondered how you calibrated yours?
@HW-Aquascaping Жыл бұрын
Awesome stuff! And yes mine did that, I found taking the end that enters the tank and putting it so it basically fills the reservoir and just keep pressing the manual add until they clear, can take a while but eventually you will get nothing but fertiliser running through it 😊🤞💚

Placed my pump above the sump and hey presto all the air bubbles have disappeared and it is working how it should.

How many watts is the unit and does it stay on all the time? Or only comes on when it doses the aquarium?
@HW-Aquascaping Жыл бұрын
Unfortunately I’m not sure in the wattage of the unit, I would imagine it’s not much as it is only small and only has to power the pump when in function. The actual pump is on a timer however I’d imagine it will draw some power as it’s on standby 24/7 as the timer function works. Hope this helps, feel free to ask any more questions 😊

Do you know how to remove dosing plans ? for the life of me I cannot see how to do it I have tried removing the device and starting again but I cannot remove it
@HW-Aquascaping Жыл бұрын
Thank you for your question, I currently have just moved house so have not set up the dosing pump at present. But if memory serves me well I think you just slide left on the plan you want to delete and it should give you an option to remove it. I will get it set back up some time this week and confirm if this is correct.

Can it dose lower than 0.5ml on auto mode?
@HW-Aquascaping3 жыл бұрын
I had a quick play around with it and I put it on 0.2ml so I imagine if it’s calibrated correctly you can does any amount of fertiliser
@4Paok4Eptalofos3 жыл бұрын
@@HW-Aquascaping well in the information says that on auto dosing the minimum is 0.50 ml and in manual mode starts from 0.01ml but if in Auto mode can handle 0.10+ ml that would be great for nano tanks
@HW-Aquascaping3 жыл бұрын
Strange, it allowed me to input lower but guess it all depends on your fertiliser manufacture on the strength of the does and if it’s a low or high energy set up or heavily planted. There are lots of variables to take into account.

How much does the dose cost and the storage?
@HW-Aquascaping2 жыл бұрын
The P1 costs around £70, it’s a very small unit so easy to store, I have mine in an Oase styleline 85 cabinet and they are around £100 to buy. Thank you for your comment :)
