From what I understand, both are similar performance wise, with the Fold obviously being a lot bigger but also a lot more expensive…Technically it could sorta double as a tablet and a phone, but I personally would go for the Flip if I had to choose

Depends on which purpose. I'm using the Z flip 5. It's good for both games and daily stuff. And the folds are more for gaming stuff since you wouldn't normally need such a big screen unless it's actually comfortable for you.
