I think it's fun when Hanukkah and Christmas are on the same week, because everyone's decorations are all out together. I have a neighbor who puts out a giant lawn menorah and it's really fun. Technically Christmas Eve is the day before Hanukkah this year, so there's always wiggle room there to consider.
