Very interesting. This is the first unboxing and overview I have seen. You covered the details of the Rock Lizard very precisely. Thanks for sharing this little truck. Awesome! 🦾

Very cool to see the first review from people who really bought the trucks and paid for them - and not as meanwhile mostly from always the same 5 - 10 channels which get their stuff for free long before normal customers can buy it and then to their "reviews", 5 on same day and always the same. Thumbs up!

@@daniels_199 LOL - soll i jetzt Österreichisch antworten?

Very good review! 👍 This is a comp rig so, the body is perfect - I think most people will love it! As for the wheel offset, again, a comp rig and 18th-scale so, great design! This truck is more aimed at WRCCA mini rules and is NOT meant to drive a 24th-scale (micro) track so, absolutely the way forward! Agree though, 2-speed is not necessary and just complicates things. Good that you got the scoop on everyone else! Thanks for the review!👍
@wingnutbert968511 ай бұрын
I think the 2-speed is a nice feature, depending on what you're into. Nice to have it if you want one rig to do both crawling and some zooming around. I just wish it was 1/24th.
@daniels_19911 ай бұрын
WRCCA Mini is hole lot bigger ;) like 200mm wide! But it is like a Micro Perfomance Scale!
@daniels_19911 ай бұрын
With the brushless it is overkill and adds complexity and weight of the Servo - I am probably gonna ditch it.

@@daniels_199 it would be good to make a little test between the FX118 and the Hobby Plus, comparing maximum angles at the bench (sidehills, uphills and downhills). Then hitting some real rocks, with 2-3 gates maybe.

Buying smaller axle stubs and not using the 2 speed fixes every issue with this rtr. The furywagon requires hours of headache and modifications to get it remotely correct. This thing obliterates the fx118 and fixes every single absolutely stupid design furitek left in. As soon as i got my hands on the fx118 my opinion was " i really wish they spent a little more time and charged $20 more to give us the true best rtr ever" this is exactly that. Furitek has lost my business when it comes to rtrs. They fumbled the fx118 ridiculously. It was designed by a group of morons. Axle length and strength issues. Crappy shocks that bind like crazy even in stock position. Horrible, laughable torque twist. Incredibly sloppy portal gears. Laughable chassis design. Poor weight distribution supposedly for children but requires throttle control to not strip driveshafts instantly? Mounting locations blocked by poor design so you can't tune the crawler correctly without massive modification. Lights don't even freaking turn off (seriously?) This is hands down the actual best RTR ever. The fx118 is dog dook. IF you're lucky enough to even get a functional one. About 40% of people are not lucky and receive a $200 paper weight... They don't even test the things before sending them out. Horrible QA and customer service. The only people defending the fx118 are brand zombies and people who leave their trucks bone stock. If you don't touch it at all it works pretty well. Decent performance. Not the best RTR ever, not even close. If you change anything from stock you'll be like " who the f**k designed this thing? "
