Like the look of the bridge. A perfect looking replica. Will have to consider a set because I do not think Italeri sell it separately like they do with some their other buildings, bunkers etc.

Hey TIm- you can get the bridge from Sarissa, I think. You may want to send them an email.

Hi great video. I am curious what do you think is better Airfix or Italeri for infantry?
@20mm653 жыл бұрын
Italeri is way better if you compare current airfix with the boxes I have and tested from Italeri.

I would definitely go for the Italeri figures. The airfix figures are still the same moulds I bought as a young kid in the '70's and the detail is lacking although I think the late war Revell figures are perhaps the best for this period.The German figures in this set look more like early WW2 figures not D-Day period, also think the Italeri Elite German infantry figures with Stg 44's etc would have been a better choice for this set.

@@timcolder2789 Hey Tim, there are also some other good companies doing figures. Pegasus does a few German kits and Zvezda did a German Platoon that was pretty good- but that one is hard to find. Imex is also pretty good, but I think the Caesar kits are some of the best.

Maybe you know this already but both the Germans and British Paratroopers in this box set are original Esci sets from around 1983. They have really stood the test of time. Excellent figures. I just bought both of these sets in the last month. I have painted most of the Germans but I have not gotten to the British yet. The price of this big box set, around 100 plus US dollars on Ebay has kept me from buying it.

Hey Paul, thx for your comment. Yes it is really Amazing That the esci figures Van still keep up with recent releases. In germany the set is way cheaper you get ist for 50-60 €.

@@20mm65 First let me thank you for doing your channel in English! The cost of shipping stuff to the United States has really limited my buying from overseas. Example a $10 box of plastic figures shipped from England has a $35-39 shipping cost!!! Thats for plastic figures that have almost no weight! Poor state of affairs really. This also adds to the cost of items that are bought State side but originate from overseas. Brave new world I am afraid. Keep up the great work!

@@paulpetri8738 Would recommend the Revell British Paratroops above these. Great moulds and poses if you are looking to purchase some Brits. They have some great WW2 sets and their late war US and German infantry figures are great for 1944 onwards (BOB my favourite campaign after D-Day).
@paulpetri87383 жыл бұрын
@@timcolder2789 I agree with you that the Revell kits are better. But they are harder to find and cost a bit more. I have both.

I would like to give a tip when painting soldiers and models. Try painting them on the spruce , you can then cover all the bits you can't reach when everything is glued together. When cut the soldiers out you can finish painting them.
@20mm653 жыл бұрын
In my early years I did it that way but in the last two years I just paint outside of the spruce to not rework things where the sprue was attached

The British Paratroopers do have anti tank weapons, They are called PIATS it stands for Personal Infantry Anti Tank.
