I just picked this gun up this week. I got the 7.62x39 in a pistol configuration and boy howdy! I love it. It's a brute and a bully that I'll be proud to take to the range with both my LWRC six8.

I love my Galil’s. I have a Gen 1 in .308 and my Gen2’s are 7.62 and 5.56. They are so reliable. I went with the pistol variants on all mine.

On the 7.62 do you shoot the short barrel ammo? Wondering what the difference would be? Really wanting to buy one but don’t want to spend the money on SBA

I like the rifle, looks badass. For the money It should come with iron sights out of the box, all that rail space. And just one mag? I like Pmags they are light, but a metal mag gives it an extra punch .... looks heavy too, I see QD mounts way forward on the rail and on the end of the buttstock. A single point sling would probably work better on this heavy rifle.

I have the same 16" Ace but in 7.62x39. The 5.56 varient just didn't make any sense to me as you are paying short of 2 grand for a MUCH heavier and less module 5.56 when you are AR options wayyyy lighter and just as if not more accurate. 7.62x39 rifles generally are more beefy, so the weight made more sense.

That safety selector looks like it’s positioned really poorly no matter what your dominant hand is. It looks like exactly where my right thumb would naturally rest. I love everything else about it so I guess I gotta go out hands on one to see how it feels.

Love the GALIL. I have one in 7.62x39 and love it. Can you check to see if the magpul D60 drum fits and locks into the magwell?

Its a shame they couldn't put a better muzzle brake on this. I immediately hopped online and ordered a DeadAir keymod...something simple and not too expensive, but a whole lot better than that POS brake it comes with. Shiiesh, for almost 2k theyd at least do that for the customer and not put the most basic muzzle device they could find on it
