Had high hopes for Jibo. It's a neat toy for 20 minutes. Then you realize it only does 1% of what Google home or Alexa can do. The makers of Jibo promised for years and years something special. They dropped the ball and missed the mark. If you watch the marketing video they produced for Jibo and what it can actually do, you should feel a little screwed over. I waited for 2 1/2 years for this cool little robot. Unfortunately it's a huge disappointment.

I love it. I hope they add more functionality and lower the price some. Secretly I’m hoping Amazon buys this company and uses Jibo to integrate their products into a hub like this one more centralized with more personality and function. Jibo lost the game one year ago, when they cut off thousands of backers around europe, asia... the whole world except USA and Canada. Almost 4 years of research to create a king size Siri with moving head? Right now there are lot of more functional and more funny robots. And when they cut off the backers, they also disabled comments for all users on youtube and facebook. I would be really stupid to support or purchase a product from a company acting like this. By the way, jibo youtube videos still have comments disabled? This company is a pretty example of what we should avoid.

Plus, that the other companies NEVER cut off the whole world (except USA and Canada) after doing 3+ years of research. In this period of 3+ years they used the money of their supporters, like for example you need to get a high loan (around 1,5 million dollars) with zero (0) interest!!!! The best solution is to create a project and go crowdfunding. No bank will give you zero interest loan. And if you want something that will be just funny (especially for kids) you can check cozmo robot. No other robot company had network latency problems, only JIBO team, as a silly excuse for cutting off the supporters. They dont know about cloud servers? Anyway, i hope these links will help you.

Cozmo is a much better buy in my opinion. About 1/5 the price, MUCH more personality, and he really feels like a Pixar character brought to life. Siri can already do everything that this piece of junk can do (minus the movement, which is more of a gimmick than anything.)
