Beautiful rod and I love how KastKing listens to it's customers suggestions. I only buy cork handled rods so I have a lot of them. Two great products to use to seal and prevent dry rot that most people already have at least one in their house is BALLISTOL or MINERAL OIL (mainly used for cutting boards and wooden cooking utensils)

Looks cool but I don't see the point in making it a 2pc like that because when broken apart it hardly saves any space because the handle only comes off? I think if I got one I would epoxy the rod section into the handle.

@@rawrfishing Hi Yes I do but when you fold them they get half the size for easy storage and to carry around the kastking one is kind of stupid and pointless it would have been better one piece it would have made for a better more sensitive rod no sense making it 2pc to only take the short handle off it don't make any sense in my opinion. Also it don't matter that the handle comes off you still have to look and align the reel up straight to the guides so it's really exactly the same to set up as a normal 2pc rod?

Glad to see a spin ultra lite setup, great rod, I wud pair it with a smaller reel. Shimano Nasci 500 or Vanford 500.

I don't like 500 spools as smaller spools generally generate more line twists. But a good brand like shimano should be good! Just out of my budget range and I would rarely use it. I heard great things about the vanford

What's the best length to use if I'm not traveling? I would of thought the longer the better? The sizes available to me are the 1.58 1.68 and 1.80 which length would you recommend and why? (I fish locally)

I like long rods. Casts further. I use long rods on kayak for fighting fish better. Short rods for streams and bank fishing with trees around

Knot is always too thick but if you are not using a long one that goes all the way down to the spool, then it's a quick easy knot. But for thin braid, I double the braid so it won't slip!

@bcleave88 if it's just to the spool, it should be okay. The force from the initial cast should pull right off. If it's closer to end of your cast where the power have diminished, the line can get caught on the knot and reduce casting distance and accuracy

If you have a zephyr bfs reel, a better power rod would be light rather Than UL. You can try Www.baitfinesseempire.com for their selection if you are in the US. There is one Zephyr bfs rod if you want it

if you are river fishing, probably want a L rather than UL as you are likely throwing heavier stuff? Try the Tsurinoya Dragon . Note Bait finesse empire carries two version, Dragon and Dragon 2. I am talking about the first version

I just came across your video looking for ultralight fishing. Are the ultralight reels and poles sell in Temu the same as your set? An fg knot on 2-10lb fluoro leader isn't going to hold. There's nothing to grip onto

Works fine here. I think the proper amount of wraps, line diameter choice and properly tightening the line is key. Definitely harder with thinner lines, but not impossible

Bait Finesse Empire is out of stock atm i ordered one right after the last sold, what are your thoughts about pairing this up with a Piscifun Carbon-x 1000 with the optional shallow spool, im really torn on keeping the colors the same or slapping that matte black on it? Loving the content keep up the good work and also feeding my bfs addiction.

Oh they sell out quick whenever I post anything LOL. your best bet is to follow them on Instagram or FB for when they get new stuff in. if you follow me, u gotta turn that bell notifications on tho as if you snooze... like i said.. it can disappear LOL in regards to Piscifun, I have no comments about their products as I boycott the brand for stealing my content after I told them that they cannot take and use my content, but they went ahead and did it anyway... But don't let me influence you! if you already have it, go for it!

BFS Reel finally came !!! FOR now I will have to try it out on the crappie maxx(6FT-Light/1/16 1/4Oz/2-8lb-fast) cast rod from Bass Pro Shop.. However I have been window shopping and this certainly has potential and a decent price compared to a lot of others out there!! I will keep this on my list, Thanks!

OH sweet! which reel did u get again? I wanted to try the BPS rods some more, but money is tight atm. let me know how that goes! seems pretty good! BPS got some nice entry rods that probably all folks would ever need for some panfish and trout. but u know how the enthusiasts are.. they gotta get the more expensive and higher end stuff LOL

So I got the crappie max cast reel from bps while I waited for bfs curado... Took some dialing to get it going, I put to much line on the spool(9lb braid to 6 lb fluoro)...I got to say it's respectable and comparable, so far on casting a 1/8 sausage jig and a bobby garland plastic . I will be going down on weight later when weather clears up to see how well it can keep up with the curado. It's durability etc has yet to be seen! I predict anything to much lighter will suffer range more so then the BFS curado!

Sup Jimmy. That is an unusual rod lol. How tight is the fit? Have 2pc rods that come apart sometimes when casting, yes inexpensive and had for 20+ years lol. I still am trying to find a curado BFS baitcaster but not sure if this is the rod? Looks like spinning rod? I have to take a break from casting a few weeks, have always had verve damage since 1999, and blew neck again and don't want 8th surgery on neck. There isn't much left lol. Why is it so hard to find curado BFS reel? Can I get regular curado and buy spool? Ty tc

I prefer to use the word unique as it's not unusal. There's plenty of UL travel rods that does this. But this isn't a casting rod. So you can't use this for bfs. Like I said, shoot for the slx bfs if u can't find the curado. It's the same thing, but rebranded for the asia market.

@@rawrfishing hi. I wrote down the six bfs incase. Sry I just never saw a rod that is 2pc at handle lol. Most of my spinning rods I had since high school and paid $10 lol.. I bought some lews combos before I bought the 2 baitcasters, starting to upgrade since learned so much and can't hunt anymore. That's why amazed when see something new. 👍
