any issues with the USBC Hub Port UGreen? is it hot when in use? did it make your macbook shut off? I heard that using cheap usbc hub ports will make m1 macbooks brick. Hehe.

Hi! Yup it gets a little hot when it's plugged in for a long time but so far it didn't make my MacBook shut down on its own. I just use it for transferring files and immediately unplug it once I'm done 😉

hi 😊sorry for the late response - from my perspective, I would recommend the MB air if you'll just use it for watching, browsing stuff and short video editing. To be honest, I have no experience in using MB air so I don’t have an actual comparison. Usage and budget are the major things that I have considered before buying MB pro. When it comes to performance, MB pro and MB air have exactly the same chip (M1) in them but the MB pro has a fan and active cooling whereas the MB air does not have a fan this means that the MB pro is more capable of sustained performance over a long period of time than the MB air. This is one of the main reasons I chose MB pro since I will mainly use it to edit videos for my yt channel and photos, which will take long hours each day. I apologize if I couldn't give some technical details since I'm not really a "techie" person, but I hope this helps. Good luck! Whatever you decide, I hope it will be worth it. Actually, this was my dilemma before, I was torn between the two since they have somewhat different functions but ended up getting the Macbook. It's been months of usage and I have no regrets. I guess it really depends on what you’ll use it 😊 Here are some of the things I've considered - usage, budget, portability, pros & cons. The decision process was not easy and it took me a long time to decide. I personally got the Macbook since I don't have a laptop and for freelance work. I also love video editing and for the longest time I've always wanted to own a MacBook because of the final cut pro. I was already struggling to edit using my phone. In my opinion, Ipad however is best for note-taking and drawings digitally. It can be a substitute to a laptop especially since Apple released a new Ipad with M1 chip although I think it will take time to get used to the UI and workflow of usage and of course, from my pov - laptop is better for heavy usages. Another factor to consider is the additional cost since the accessories like apple pencil and keyboard are sold separately for iPad. I would suggest to go for a laptop first if you don't have a laptop yet. Apologies if I wasn't able to give some tech details since I'm not really a "techie" person but I hope this helps. Good luck! Hello 😁yup for me worth it naman sya hehe since nagagamit ko siya for video editing and freelance work. Ma-reco ko siya for online class tho i think if purely online class mo siya gagamitin and di ka naman gumagamit ng mga heavy usage na softwares, pwede ka mag macbook air since mas mura. Tho isa sa cons kasi walang fan ung MB air so di talaga siya recommended for heavy usage. Pwede ka rin mag ipad since common siya sa students now and magagamit sya for digital notes pero if wala ka pa laptop, I suggest na laptop nalang hehe 😁At the end, it really depends talaga if kung saan mo siya gagamitin hehe sana nakutlong.
