The haters are absolutely clueless because they don't understand the $480 value. They act like this is priced at +$800 phone. They want a $480 phone to have the very latest processor and compete with +$800 phones. Really? There is nothing wrong with 835 processor phone at $480. Wake up! Don't even bring up OnePlus 6 with its bad camera, lame oxygen, horrible support, terrible bottom front facing speaker, etc.

Excellent point. I just ordered a Z3 that I picked up from Verizon for $400. It pretty much has to be the best phone in the US for that price.

I started with a Motorola flip phone, then a Moto Droid 3, then the Moto X 1st Gen, then the Moto X Pure Edition. I'd been waiting for this Moto Z3. Sigh... how underwhelming unless your anxious to be the first kid on your block to get cancer from 5G. Reckon I'll wait and see what Google has in store for the Pixel 3.

There are a lot of SD 835 phones you can get today for less than that. Besides, you have to pay extra for that giant, ugly mod anyway, right? All of their mods are overpriced, so I expect the 5G mod to also be expensive. The idea of mods is still interesting, but their pricing is what pushes people away.

topgeartim visually to me, it looks like my Nexus 5's bezels. If you take a ruler and measure it, I'm sure it will be the same thickness as my 5 year old phone 😄.

Love jessica, hate the phone. Motorola has been one big fail since Google sold them to Lenovo. Why should I consider getting a phone with specs barely better than phones from three years ago? (My Motorola moto x pure from 2015 had essentially the same or better everything) They never listen. This is junk, and I think their company is becoming irrelevant.

Cesar Galvez My last Samsung was an S3 way back when they were reasonably priced and reasonably featured. Now they are overpriced and over-bloated. I'm happy with my Z2 now. If I want better performance in a certain area, I get a mod for it, and it performs better in that area than an S9.
