That green flocked fabric is amazing. I immediately though of a Worth style gown with a black base. It would be stunning. Love your mum stories. She sounds fabulous. I have given up on the idea of destashing. I think of it as upgrading. Cause I want a stash, just more of what I like and less of what I'll never use. Good luck and hope you are well.

I would watch a haberdashery video if you put one up, but right now I'm more interested in that IKEA kaftan... I too have a beautiful second hand fabric that's either silk or extremely well made polyester, but I'm not good enough at knowing what the burn tests would look like, so it remains a mystery. Either way it will make a fabulous skirt or dress one day.
@EmilySnee Жыл бұрын
I have been planning a video about burn tests… so maybe I need to hurry that up, so you can have something helpful to refer to ☺️

Brilliant haul, that Hot Pink IS Bright! I'm still squinting. Now I'm off to finish putting elastic back in a skirt waist that I have just took in. Skirt was £2.50 from a charity shop but about 4 sizes to large, but a skirt for that little is a win in my books.

The fabric with the big black leaves I could see as a caftan, but also bib overalls that have wide legs. I'm not familiar with the fashion lingo but there's not much structure to them, there is a bit of a "bib" but the straps are quite thin, and only fasten with buttons onto the bib. The back can be more open, but it does have some back to it, obviously to attach the straps to something in the back, but again, very unstructured. That was the first thing I thought of when you presented the material. I look forward to seeing what you do with it.

Some of that I would just want to hoard, honestly. The imaginary project is sometimes as good. Like that last piece. Do you cut it up and make it, or do you save it? I would be so torn. Plus also a peek at the buttons and ribbon would not have been untoward for the crows in the audience like me lol I think I can safely say a large majority of your audience likes shinys lol
