Both are lovely. I love the passport size….I ordered my 2023 passport insert from Japan a few days ago…..a Nolte Pagem. It’s really difficult to get passport size inserts. Luckily I have lots of plain notebooks in my stash. I also prefer B6 to A5 but I have covers and notebooks for both. How do you store or display your notebook covers? Mine will be on a bookshelf when I get my study/office set up. Apart from the A5 and passport that I’m currently using, the others are stored in their pouches and boxes in a wardrobe.

Luckily it’s pretty easy to find passport size notebooks. But planners are definitely less common - Nolty and Takahashi Shoten both make one but i bet other Japanese planner brands might too. I haven’t looked in detail since I found a Takahashi I like :) I store most of my covers in a fabric boxes in my studio. Only a few get stored on shelves and mostly bc those have current notebooks in them. I don’t like to store them on shelves bc I don’t like them to get sun on the spine because on my veg tanned ones it discolors the spine.

A B6 is on my list too. Though I’m going to live in these for a while to make sure I know exactly what I need and want for any customization since I don’t expect I’ll be buying tons of them since they are so pricy. But so worth it!

Is your moterm an A5 + ? Both notebooks are W222 and fit in the A5? Your VDS are beautiful!

Yes the Moterm is A5+…that seems to be their more popular size to make now. More of the + are available. I think because so many want to use a clear/jelly cover and a lot of folks chunk their planners too. Yes the Wonderland222 fits in the Moterm and my size adjusted Codex from VDS.

I want one! For work, last year you used a W222 and this year a Take a Note. Which one worked out better?

Yes in the past I’d used the W222 for work - which worked well overall but for my new role I needed more space each week for notes. So I’d switched to a discbound which I liked a lot but when I saw the TAN I thought it might be the perfect balance and it was. I like that it’s bound and A5 size (the discbound was 7x9) and that it has more space per day for notes but not so much I feel overwhelmed with space. And I love the clean layout. I am using the W222 for personal now though and like it alot too. For me the TAN is better for work. But a lot of that is because of my job. If I had a different roll at work or was in a different department then the W222 would be better.

I think you'll love it. I tried the day free for a spell. I needed a little more structure built in - but clean without a lot of fuss...and the half page per day works so well.
