It took you 6.40 mins to finally open the box; such care you took to unbox. Kudos!!

Pretty expensive but sweeet looking watch! I love how Orient brings back these vintage styles in some very smart looking watches and not silly oversized like other brands.

Looking into getting this piece. I love the deck watch aesthetic, and I like the fact this is strictly hand wind like the chronometer pocket watches that are its inspiration. Having a power reserve tastefully done is just icing on the cake. I'm glad it has a display caseback. I enjoy watching the mechanics of a movement and don't get hung up on looking at a blue screw.

Great looking watch! And the 40mm size is just right.

An excellent time-piece. The specs resemble that of the non-chronometer Rolex 6694 which cost 2000 usd pre-owned. With the hacking sec hand, it's one up the Rolex. At 150 dollars and much better looking.

Beautifull watch. You'll enjoy it! Received mine yesterday. White dial model with bright steel-blue pointers. What I really like very much is this Orient finally has a long enough seconds pointer. Most Orient Watches lack it. It is too short in my opinion. Orient Watches are like Seiko unique because calibers, casings, pointers, dials, and so on, everything is in-house built. From my humble knowledge only the expensive- up to very expensive Swiss watches like Patek-Philippe are a complete in house production.

I like his tabletop finish, it's always IN FOCUS. And yes, it takes all the way up to 6:33 before you see the actual watch ! - Tedious to say the least...

Not a bad looking watch by any means ... would have preferred it at 38mm though given the watch is all dial it will wear slightly larger than advertised.

If you like a domed crystal, then check out the Orient Bambino. That and the Monarch are also available at Long Island Watch. The display case back on the Monarch appears to be a waste. Great video. Thanks.

I really really really was very close to getting the gold version, but I realized it was too small at 40mm :(

It's definitely not sapphire

+azizul zulzaha It's not a sapphire. I clarified the issue with Orient Japan. They confirmed it's a mineral crystal.

If you want a classic looking watch with sapphire crystal you should buy this automatic one (also in yellow gold or pink gold plated) kzbin.info/www/bejne/jKSqmoyGhNCUa5o but there is a cheaper Vostok with mineral glass, also extremely attractive and with a well proven movementmeranom.com/en/vostok/retro/vostok-watch-retro-2415-550946.html
