Isabel and Nicki are cute! I love Nicki's collection. I want Nicki's Skateboarding outfit, her vinyl red dress outfit, and the American Girl tshirt for my Addy. I love dressing her up in historical clothing as well as modern clothing. So much 90's nostalgia in Nicki's collection. I can tell that you will have fun with your new dolls.

I honestly really love them! I think they’re going to get their own shelf in my display. Their outfits have so many fun details, and I’m really glad I got the accessories. I’ve had them for a few days and I still love them at least as much as when I opened them. Maybe more actually haha

I think Nicki and Isabel are so cute! My favorite little detail is the fact that the pattern on Nicki’s Jacket matches the one on Isabel’s skirt. Also, the strap around the waist in the box is actually very new, being first used on the 2023 girl of the year Kavi. Their wrists were strapped in instead until then. Great and very detailed unboxing!

First time viewer - Love your video! I have no American Girl dolls. My shelves are full of Gotz , RubyRed & Barbie. I actually use my dolls as a Muse for painting doll portraits. Not identical copies of the doll, but I try to convey the personality of each each doll in the portrait. These two dolls peaked my interest though I’m MUCH older than 90s era.. I’ve been on the fence about branching into another brand. Your video has convinced me that it’s time to place my first order. Thank you so much for such a candid , genuine and absolutely delightful show.

That’s amazing, I love that, thank you! It’s so rare to find a Götz collector that doesn’t also collect American Girl. I’ve grown to love Götz dolls (and other German made doll lines) after learning about them from the Pleasant Company world. I definitely think you’ll love American Girl dolls. I’d recommend getting a 1980’s Pleasant Company doll because she’ll be most like a Götz doll from that era. Thanks so much for watching!

Absolutely love both of these dolls, they hit a special place in my heart being I grew up in the 90’s. The 90’s were the absolute best, love the ying yang choker one of my favorite pieces. Love the idea of putting band shirts of the 90’s on Nikki. Love that you brought up Hole, and letters to Cleo, veruca salt popped in my head as well and havnt thought about those bands in so long!! Love it!! Great video!!🙌🏼🙌🏼❤️

Jonny I love the clown show! Your playful commentary combined with your extensive knowledge makes watching your videos a joy. Loved the unboxing. I’m planning on getting Nicki and my Mom, who collects with me, will get Isabel. I was 12 in 1999 so the collection is very nostalgic to me too. I lived there and I can confirm that the clothing on both of these twins is on point. You only have to go back and watch full House look at Mary-Kate and Ashley... They literally wear outfits just like this at the age these characters are supposed to be. ❤

Enjoyed your unboxing video. I am glad you really like them. Since I won't be getting these dolls I would love to see a more in-depth video and hopefully you read their books and tell us their story. I am a woman with a twin brother and we don't look alike at all. Glad they made these twins a little different. I was hoping one of the twins would be goth (lol).....maybe next year Nicki will get into it.

I appreciate the value and focus you have on the earliest Pleasant Company dolls and products. I am happy that you have found a few more dolls for easier active play! I am interested in future videos with Julie, and/or Nicki and Isabel. I was able to purchase their journals second hand and now have the Pizza Hut set. I am interested in Nicki’s furniture accessories. What these dolls mostly inspired was my interest in the 1995-1999 Girl of Today line! I am glad that they have inspired you to relax and enjoy playing with your dolls!

I’m new to your channel and I love your in depth reviews. I have decided to start an American Girl collection. I had Samantha as a kid and loved her so much. We didn’t have a ton of money so I’m making up for that now. I want to get Isabelle and Nicki and old girl of today outfits and recreate my youth lol. Isabelle reminds me of Cher from Cluless.

I did not plan to buy these dolls, but then I just found myself placing an order. I got them yesterday, and OMG. I love them so much. They are perfect!!I had been putting together a Pinterest board for clothing I plan to make for mine while I waited for them to get here. I can't wait to start drafting patterns and making them more clothes! I'm so glad you got them too. :D I hope you can enjoy them for a good long while!

It's the worst when a doll has the name of someone you don't like 😆 "Alex" is my pick for renaming her, even though I'm keeping mine as Nicki (I like that name, and don't personally know Nicki's that I dislike hah) They are both really great dolls with nice details, so I think you'll like her after you change her name!

Super late to the review, but I'm really happy to see how positive you are about them. Lord knows I bitch and moan about a ton of stuff too and I think it's really important to let these companies know how you feel, but as someone that finally got my first AG after 20+ years (I thought they made boy JLYs as a kid and they didn't, so I waited and got one of the TMs this past Christmas) it's nice to see someone that isn't angry about them and just as excited as I am, haha. I'm also dangerously close to going buckwild and splurging on the Pizza Hut set and Nicki's chair set for him.

I got a 104 and I love him, but I think if I were a kid again I'd definitely be disappointed. Create Your Own doesn't even use the boy heads or accessories either. 😭😭😭

I was so excited for the 90s doll to come out after Courtney 1986... But when they announced 1999, I i was really upset as a 1984 baby, I was really hoping for a mid 90s girl. Oh well. I get they wanted the Y2K thing, but being skipped over as the first AG generation, I'm sad.

Nicki really does look like Alex Mack! That was one of my favorite shows as a kid. I thought the highlights were a bit odd--I didn't know a lot of 10-year-olds whose parents were letting them get highlights in the 90s--but looking at some old Larissa Oleynik photos, maybe that is what they were leaning into. I'm mostly a Pleasant Company collector at the moment and it's been a long time since I bought anything new-new, so I love hearing your thoughts on the new dolls as a vintage collector. It's great to hear that AG is still making such a high quality doll, and I'm definitely thinking now about maybe picking up one of the newer historicals. Thanks for a great in-depth video!

Nicki's middle name is Pearl! It says it later in her book, and in Isabel's book too. It doesn't really scream 90's to me, but it's still a really pretty name! And I agree with you, the hair on these dolls is phenomenal. I recently got Nicki, and my sister got Isabel. They both have the cutest little faces! American girl is definitely stepping up the quality with these dolls.

@@idreamofjonny it is a lot of stuff. I have them but not first editions. But all the Pleasant company ones. Rebecca is not actually PC but she is the old edition wearing the first Meet outfit. Actually, Josefina must be first edition. We got her when she first come out. I love their collections. I am thinking of selling a couple of my AG historical dolls and almost all of my GOTY. Why? They take up too much space. The GOTY don't capture my heart I have decided. Oh well, our collections are always in flux. That is the nature of the game. I bought way too much years ago. Now I want to curate my collection and sell the stuff that doesn't make my heart flutter.

i don't collect AG, but i like your shelves.. . a lot of doll/toy rooms can look a little busy, but yours are really well displayed (i feel like using the coordinating burgundy boxes/ribbons help).. . i'd actually be interested in a video pulling back and showing the full shelving displays (maybe as a special episode for hitting 1k subs?)

Aw, thanks! I'm realizing how much I appreciate the quality on the modern dolls. I really want Nicki and Isabel's full collection now. I'm going to keep their names because I'm a purist. I mentioned in the video that I'd rename Nicki to "Alex" if I were going to rename her. It was a very common girl name in the 90's and it's unisex, just like the name "Nicki"

Jonny, Nicki is the older twin. Not Isabel. Just letting you know. Nicki was born first. Isabel was born after her. By the way, if I chosen Nicki's middle name, it would be Lea. And Isabel's would be either Quinn or Michele.
