Hi Susie 💫 How fun to see you get new plant mail. Those were all really nice sized plants. I’m still searching for a Ficus to try out. My friend and I were actually out plant shopping today and she purchased a Codonanthe that I’m hoping to grab a cutting from. It was just beautiful. Wishing you the best on all your new plants to settle in splendidly for you. Enjoy the rest of your week. 🙏🏻💫

Got my first Mayoi this last year too, she’s still a baby but the amount of defined lobes showing up on new leaves excites me! Looks like yours already needs a support of some kind.

I love all of the ficus that you have! I feel a bit ignorant about them, and it’s lovely to see how many different types there are from watching your videos. Good luck with the Hoya!

How lovely for you. Which ones? How are you finding them?
In my experience, hoyas are very prone to letting new shoots shrivel up after manhandling, but they recover from this without any long-term consequences. If it continues, you'll have to examine the roots. They susceptible to root rot if overwatered. Best to water them properly each time, letting them soak for 30 minutes in a bowl (especially during the summer), and then have them dry out completely before watering again. Hoyas are also prone to root mealy bugs, so that's something to keep an eye on. Check the underside of the pot regularly and carefully for any signs, - they are sneaky bastards!

Happy to help. Am only just getting into leafy houseplants, since I'm about to move to a new house with lots of north-facing windows that need populating. I currently have ca. 600 cacti & succulents, including hoyas. Channels like yours by people who live in a similar climate to mine help me greatly with my research :)
