Linna, I’m curious to know how the Japanese view Commodore Perry’s visit and the subsequent “opening” of Japan. On the one hand, it led to beneficial trade and modernization, but on the other, there was a subtle threat of force if the Japanese didn’t agree to trade on favorable terms. In what way was it presented at the museum you visited? Thanks for sharing your lovely family life with us.

HAPPY NEW YEAR MY LOVELY SPECAIL FRIEND LINNA I hope you all had a great time it looked as though you had. I like the idea that you and HUBBY always take the kids to lovely places They must be.delighted when you are getting ready for a surprise outing. My NEW YEAR was quiet but very happy. Gary has taken 2 weeks off work to paint and decorate the Living Room for me. I have picked a beautiful green colour. Honestly its the just gourgeous.Hes very pedantic everything has to be carefully orchestrated he won't let me touch a thing. Not because he is so kind its because he doesn't want the strokes to be perfect. I argued at first but after a long time I said ( yes you are a perfect painter ) zi will just provide his meals . Im not that innocent. Provide him with tea and treats he should have it finished next week. He sands the wood down , undercoated all the skirting boards, 2 coats on ceiling, then two coates on ceiling theb 2 coates on walls. Then at last it will be finished. Im really excited because know the colour is perfect for the rooms. Have you been the Sales much Linna. I havnt been at all yet. Its been bitter cold and the say we are to have snow at the end of next week. Over here in ENGLAND we are so worried about our energy bills. Not many of us are putting the heating on, we just layer up pray for the best. I'm having to go around the house and decide what im keeping or getting rid of. Two bags , one for rubbish and one for charity shop. Dya know while Gary doesn't think I know he's been putting stuff i want to keep in the bags . So I have to search through the bag again. Its taking forever. Probably I will still be doing this next week 😂😂 😂😂. Anyway Linna iv had a lovely chat with you again till next time I hope you stay well you and your family and I will write again soon lots of love 💘 ❤ 💙
