Thx Alexander. Great video and appreciate the play insights you already had from your test play. Cheers Mate.

I own Hunters, and don't want to sell it off. The thing I didn't like about it is the 'meaningful decisions' problems these types of games have. OTOH they are fascinating as historical studies, and fun to run through a few times. I just wish they didn't cost so much. Probably worth it, but the competition for my time is fierce. I might get the 2nd in the series, though (whatever the name is). I love air combat games. That Doiner push prop might have just sold me.

Thanks Alexander. Would you and Grant be willing to make a video about your 3-5 favorite solitaire games?

Thanks. I have watched both previously. You have both played so many more games over the last few months. Also, it seems Grant has embraced solitaire more recently. As of now, favorites excluding the conflict in the Falklands?

Alexander, another great video, thanks! Watch out for a couple of printing errors on the players aid cards. One is on the Operational card; the moon track, third one down should be dark (-1). Another is on table B3 (Bomber Damage), starboard wing column, third down (stbd Wing x2) should be x1, like the port wing column. These are minor errors, and really not a big deal. Just something of which to be aware. Otherwise, the game is fantastic fun, fast-moving, and flexible.

And another game on the buy list. Could you make a short lets play of how a missions plays out?

Hi Alexander, thank you for the great job you are doing. I want to get a solo WW2 air war game but i am undecided between this title an the Skies Above Reich. which one do you recommend considering my emphasis is on making meaningful decisions rather than the narrative.
@ThePlayersAid6 жыл бұрын
Between those two skies above the Reich offers the most tactical/meaningful decision making

Alexander, I forgot I was watching an unboxing, more of a excited review! (xmas day opening prezzies) Love it! Great enthusiasm!. I've recently got Interceptor Ace , Are they still different enough to have both?? Also with Target for tonight coming soon, same question do you think they will be different enough to have both today and tonight?
@ThePlayersAid4 жыл бұрын
Interceptor ace and Nightfigher Ace are similar yes. I think I prefer Nightfighter because it's quicker, and you can progress through a campaign quickly and see how well it does. You don't get bogged in fighter combat etc. With Target for Tonight, I'm not sure. Frankly they're probably identical just with different targets, harsher bomb run rolls, and more difficult navigation. Hoping to get a copy to let you know though.

@@ThePlayersAid Thanks for the reply. I've gone ahead and ordered Night-fighter as I know Im going to like both games. I look forward to you doing a unboxing or review on Target for tonight and see! From what I can tell though a lot of game mechanics will be the same, you the British this time flying your Lancaster and have new things to deal with like search lights trying to spot you in the night sky etc. So the story will be different, ah If the game Rocks! (wait for your review) and you enjoy the game with a few new twists and story and budget allows ... why not. Look forward to when you get your hands on one.

I wonder whether it would be possible to use the campaign and combat from this game with the detection and approach from GMT's Nightfighter
@ThePlayersAid6 жыл бұрын
I recently got nightfighter but haven't played it. Unsure about lifting the system from that game but it'd be simple enough to insert it into Nightfighter Ace with only a few modifications.

This has been on my waiting list for whole year, but im quite concerned about Compass games again publishing game with full of errors. Just look at African campaign.... And this costs nice 95e too so its damn expensive. Can you confirm any errors?

And that’s another one added to this noob’s wish list.

Their games look good, but are way too expensive for me.
