This hasn't made it to my table yet, and now that you've unboxed it in front of me, it's calling to me from my shelf-o-shame...

Another Gamers' map that needs to move beyond the 1995 aesthetic to provide greater clarity regarding infrastructure.

They are not interested in getting rid of trees, but keeping lumberjacks employed. Helps the economy!

I have played this game. Great game. I love Dean Essig's 1995 style maps😀(one man's trash is...…)

Game looks real good. But as you said that maybe above my current pay grade since I have not done any OCS games. 👍👍👍

But I don't remember seeing this blank paper in any of the OCS games I have purchased (IIRC), Smolensk is the first. =) Thanks for the unboxing.

I'm new to both OCS and BCS systems and have bought Tunisia II, Smolensk Barbarossa derailed as well as BCS Baptism by fire. My question for you is, which one of these would be the easiest learning experience to get a feel for the game for a newbie like myself. I have played ASLsk extensively and many miniature wargames as well as some other hex and counter games but nothing from the Gamers catalogue. Any advice would be appreciated

Tunisia II is generally considered a good starting point for OCS. For BCS, either Baptism or Brazen Chariots hgas good starting scenarios.

@@ardwulfslair Thanks for the advice but I'm also wondering if I should start with BCS or OCS first - which do you think is easier to learn

@@VonChoker Boy, that's a good question. OCS has much higher rules volume but is more conventional. BCS has more unusual features but it's probably easier all around.

@@ardwulfslair thanks for the help. I might try and start with BCS then
