Hey Christi, Wow, today is the first time found one of your videos. I came here for the shoe soles, I stayed for ALL of the fabulous STUFF. I'm super impressed with the sheer abundance of your skills. I do a lot of things. Or at least I start a lot of things. You apparently finish them too. Well done! But really, I love your cheerful attitude, your excitement, not just in this unboxing video, which I guess calls for some excitement, but your approach to your crafts and arts just seams so... happy. You are a pleasure to watch and learn from. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you so much Camera Shy Coco. I try and make a point of only filming when I"m feeling exceptionally happy....which generally means I'm feeling extra creative.

Love your excitement in opening the package up. I would be dying to play with it too! I checked out their website. The price of the wool was reasonable for the quantity, but shipping costs are too high. What was the weight on that package you opened?

PS - I would like to see a video on the sample package you received.

It's one kilogram - which is just over two pounds. Shipping has gone way up since last year, which I was not super pleased with. There are several shops on Etsy though that actually carry the exact same wool, but of course they increase the price so it kind of all just works out the same, less price on shipping but higher price of the wool on Etsy and lower price on the wool, but greater price in shipping if you buy it from Italy.

New spinner here. What is sliver?

It's just a term that wool mills use, basically it's roving, but thinner and without twist, so it's actually much easier to draft, BUT it's easier to pull apart, so if you were going to try and do that giant knitting, it would completely fall apart.
