Love the Birch! Had to turn down the volume for the first time. Adjust your mic cord. Great cover choice..Chrissie Hynde, talk of the town. Throw off reminds me of our own SPL birch snare which I unloaded, and I think you ufo,ed it. Thanks for the video's. Wires and my suggestion is a Remo Ambassador clear on the reso. Congrats Todd! She's a keeper!

I had the mic on when I was playing with the snare and I should have just been using the iPods mic instead, sorry about that. Remo ambassador going on the reso. Attack top Barron on the batter plus pure sound wires will be added.

Great snare - I have the Artist Club 100 kit which came with the 13 inch version of this. Put some good heads on and you are good to go! I found Evans UV1s worked really well.

Yes, that is my new snare and all the songs. And I initially bought hydraulics for that kit but it really really muffled him down. I like the heads I got on there now which are Aquarian

That's a decent price. Premier is definitely a brand to go with as barely anybody cares about em. So you get good stuff for much cheaper than say Ludwig(love Ludwig but jeez they was 700$ for a supersonic just cuz KZbin drummers love em... pfft) Birch is what my Yamaha stage customs are made out of. Its the only Birch kit I have any experience with and I think they're great

And same for vintage, I've looked at some early 60s premier kits and when it comes to vintage prices which are usually out of control, premier usually aren't sky high. It might be a route to go, ever thought about it? As much as new is great, I always wanted a somewhat crusty old drum set with the old very archaic hardware and Tom mounts. Some of that stuff is super cool

@@NintenDub Reason why they're so cheap is that most American drummers want "American" drums from US manufacturers. Ludwig really hurt their sales in the US.

I will work towards replacing the cheap ( no pun intended) cymbals I have and working towards Paiste 2002's and a shell pak of yamaha stage customs. That is my ideal setup and may take a few years.
