I like how you say the selection where you just go completely bonkers is the Butterfly in the Sky but not the Joe Pesci album. For me going bonkers would probably reside with the Joe Pesci sing-a-longs. But then I worked on the film Home Alone so maybe I just find more humor in that particular choice. But that said I bet its got to be a blast of fun to play it. You got a nice selection of records my friend and glad you had a good time on RSD. Thats what it’s all about. Enjoy the tunes. Take care.

Hey great video...and cool to meet another Canadian...I'm from NY but feel like an honourary Canadian...the titles I snagged for this great RSD '24 are only 7...but it was just over $300...I got the Ramones '75 Sire Demos, Elton John, Golden Earring Cut sessions, David Bowie (bummed its black vinyl not coloured or splatter but what can you do), Dead or Alive, Parliament & Sparks/Noel...just bought the Dwight Yoakam CD box online as neither store I hit got it in...will buy others this week I saw on RSD but was under budget...and some I'm not buying cuz either on CD or part of a boxset...great RSD though...

I’m happy that RSD for yourself is the way you describe it in your video To myself and many others it’s getting up in the middle of the night to go stand in a long line for overpriced records Too much crappy sounding live albums, too many colored vinyl records that we already have,do I need a picture disc??? No! How about another shitty Doors live album?? No thanks! I realize people love RSD but I grew tired of it a few years ago

Haha I like how I found your channel randomly! I was in line slightly behind you at Play De Record in the morning, didn't remotely think you were a KZbinr. You seemed very nice and communicative with other people! Definitely gonna check out the rest of your vids man!

Great video, I enjoyed seeing what you picked up as well as your insights about each release. I would have loved to have found the Joe Pesci release locally but it was a hit in my area and sold out early- I'm hoping to snag it online tomorrow. I was so happy to see another LITA release for Nancy Sinatra and it was well worth the trip to more than one store to find it. I've picked up all of the LITA releases of her albums and they are so well done. Not to mention I just adore Nancy- I'm embarrassed to say that prior to these releases, I didn't know much of her catalog, but now I'm definitely a fan- she's a cool lady. Overall, I was very pleased with this year's releases, I picked up Willie Nelson's, 'Phases & Stages', David Bowie's, 'Waiting In The Sky' & Chris Isaak's, 'Beyond the Sun' releases also. It was a fun day- Record Store Day has definitely not lost its luster for me, it's always fun to talk with other record collectors and just a thrill to see my local stores have lines out the door- I love that for them! Have a great evening & Happy Spinning! 😊

Hello again Jason. I found your RSD selections to be very interesting. I didn't even know about that Franki Valli lp until you raved about it. Also, the other lunatic standing in line at Sonic Boom was unable to purchase the Barclay James Harvest because of the first lunatic standing further up the queue. Still, it was good to see you at the stores and to tell you, "thanks again", for the use of the chair you generously supplied. It certainly helped. Guess we'll see you at the next sale-abration. Cheers.

I just visited Vancouver,Seattle , Chicago,NYC ,Montreal and Toronto and Niagara Falls from Australia. I arrived fortuitously the day before RSD . So needless to say I bought a lot of records, signal in Chicago, Jazz record store NYC and Sonic Boom in Toronto were my fave shops . Good RSD review ,thx .

Sadly the nearest Record Store is 360 km away so my RSD is usually on Sundays with online shopping. Like you said though, I get caught up in buying items that I may only play once! And then wonder why I bought it! haha Cheers

I really enjoyed hearing about the record stores you went to on record store day and your experiences. I have gone to record store day events a total of two times ( I am a new collector) and I have enjoyed myself. Last year, I did not get the records that I wanted but did not leave empty handed. I left with the Eric Carr double LP record store day exclusive and picked up an indie album called Li Xi-Meet me somewhere (which sounds similar to beach house). This year, I actually got a few records from my list but there were still some records that I was not able to get. The records that I purchased this record store day were: Gandalf, Sevendust, Chase Atlantic, and Mxmtoon. All these records have been played on my record player a lot ever since I purchased them. I love my Gandalf record and play it quite often. It needed a good cleaning though before placing it on my turntable. I wonder if your copy was also dirty. I look forward to attending more record store day events in the future!

Kate Bush is one of my favorite artists for the past 45 years or so. Too bad she has released such a stupid gimmick. Other than that, I really enjoyed your take on RSD.
