Loving my M700 Magpul Remmy in .260 since I’ve been hand loading for over 35 years. Remmy knocked the ball out of the park with this rendition. I love the Cerakote application. The 5R barrel shoots into 3/4” with boring regularity. Right now I’m running Lapua Scenar 108’s about 2940 FPS. I sold the Magpul Hunter stock and all the pieces since I have a KRG Bravo sitting in the closet ready for this barreled receiver. I’ve been most happy with the 22” factory barrel since I was so used to the 26” barrel from the M700 SPS Varmint series rifles. Life is good. Stay strong and stay safe out there!! Cheers

I’ve got the.308 version and absolutely love it! She shoots .025-.075 all day long. SMK 168/175 she’ll one hole it if you do your part.

I bought the 300WM 5R version that was set in an HS precision stock. Other than the stock the only difference is my barrel has flutes. The actions was a mess at first.... Had to have it honed twice and finally the head spacing had to be adjusted to allow the bolt to come back after firing a shot. It works great now and is an absolute laser beam, but I have to caution that Remington isn't the same Remington we all grew up with anymore. It is basically the luck of the draw now days. A lot of quality issues tend to slip through with them.

Agree'd, I'd completely given up on Remington until I purchased this rifle. I love it, but my past experience with a couple 870's and a 30-06 pump remington have really soured me on the company.

I purchased this rifle based on it checked multiple boxes for me....IE 308win heavy barrel, 22 inch barrel, extended bolt knob, aluminum bedding block, and ability to have 10+ round magazines. I was however concerned that accuracy would not be on par with a Savage 110 or even a Ruger American Predator. I have owned both and both didn't scratch every itch that I had, the Savage and its magazine and even though it had an ac-cu stock still felt flimsy, the Ruger and its 18" barrel and the fact that the stock is awful (and yes I know the Remington is twice the price bu trust me its twice the gun). Now again I was worried about accuracy but that worry is over now with 2 different range trips it shot consistently just shy over a 1/2 inch hand loaded with 168gr Nosler Custom Competitions loaded with Varget. No sled just a tripod shooting rest and sand bag in the rear. Great Job Remington! FINALLY!

Does that Vortex scope have MOA adjustment and a mil reticle? Make sure you keep those straight in your head if that’s the case. Could get confusing, especially if you’re a bit newer to that.

I personally wouldn’t want to have a scope with MOA turret adjustments and a Mil-Radian reticle. Just making things hard on yourself for no reason. The reticle and turret should be the same measuring system.

I'm a remington fan but any modern gun should be capable of 3 shot sub moa groups. Every rifle I've bought in the last 5 years has shot 5rd sub moa groups with proper ammo. Some rifles are more picky with ammo, and some guys think that since a new rifle wont shoot their favorite ammo that shot well in 10 other guns, that the new gun is junk.

Nice rifle. Did Remington ever release the Magpul Enhanced they showed at ShotShow with the 5R Barrel, 20MOA pic rail and included "Harris" Bipod?

@@CDNSHEEPDOG Yeah for me thats the main thing. I picked up a 5R milspec a few years ago when they were an acusport exlusive. I still have the action but rebarreled and rechambered for 6.5 creed with a bartlein 5r tube. The Magpul enhanced i think only comes with the 20 MOA rail, bipod, and fluted barrel. I love Magpul stuff too. They really have the best stock for the money if you're not looking at KRG, MDT, XLR. I really want to check out their Pro 700 chassis system.

I was VERY happy with this rifle, I JUST sold it 2 weeks ago, only reason is that I got into a bad news lapua, not by any fault of the 700 magpul at all. (gun cabinets only so large)

They only make a 5 round version of the Magpul p-mag magazine. Hunting regulations stipulate 5 rounds maximum per magazine. This is a hunting rifle, so, it’s setup for hunting laws.

The factory trigger is nice on it. Not a timney but it does a pretty decent job. I will probably upgrade to a timney though in the near future

Steven Long magpul advertises the hunter and the new pro series stocks but got Remington only sells the one magpul stock as a package.

At Shot SHow they advertised a Magpul Enhanced version that comes with a 20 MOA rail and "Harris" bipod in FDE with the 5R barrel and threaded muzzle and enlarged bolt knob. Don't know if they ever released it. You know gun companies... Coming in June... Coming in July... Coming in August.. Coming in 2019 lol. I have a 700 5R milspec rebarreled with a Bartlein 5R tube in 6.5creedmoor put in an AICS chassis. Really peaked my interest in long range shooting. Just picked up a Tikka T3x Tac A1 this year and that thing is a dream to shoot out of the box omg. Check out some Tikka T3x Tac A1 videos lol it is insane.

Tyler Fitzgibbon the Remington, love the magpul stock. The grip panels on the pistol grip are much more aggressive than the diamond checkering on the Savage, trigger and bolt handle are the only things I like better on the Savage.

That ammunition is butt ugly. Hahaha Winchester ammo always has stupid quirks like that. Either shit quality, inconsistent, or ugly. Unless you're hunting, only use that ammo to break in your barrel. It's crap ammo

lol Ugly ammo? Don't normally buy ammo because it's pretty. I will also be hunting with this rifle actually, and I've always found winchester loaded a hell of a lot more consistently than remington crap at least. No, it's not match ammo, but I also don't have anything past 400 yards locally at the moment, so I'm sure it'll do just fine for now. Don't see your trigger comment anymore , but as far as that goes, I've certainly found better triggers than this, and do plan to replace it, but we've all got our priorities, and that's going to have to come after a few other purchases for me. thanks for checking out the video.
