I had the Eos RP, loved it but because I can't bring any where, I wasn't able to shoot more. Sold it and changed to smaller Fujifilm XS10 but same thing happened. Sold it, stopped shooting for a year and then got the M200 for almost nothing and this will be my camera until it dies. I can pocket it.

It does not visually print the date and time on the photo, but it stamps the date and time on the jpeg image file that it creates which can be looked up on any computer.

The camera cannot be used without a lens. The there several gold plated contacts at the bottom portion of the lens opening inside the camera which communicates with the lens. If there is no lens or lens malfunction the camera will give an error message on the LCD, something like Lens Error!!!

This is the camera I use to film all of the videos on my channel. I'm using it as a web cam going into obs, and I can't seem to get a clear image for the life of me. You can see the 4K recording at 1:11:50 but remember that if you shoot in 4K you lose frame rate. Yes they did have a new firmware update, but you should only get it if you are having issues. As they say " don't fix it, if it is not broken"

How do you get a date stamp? Can you do that with this camera ??

I know they used to have that on Film Cameras because there was no other way to keep track of the date. However on Digital camera the date stamp is on the digital "JPEG" file itself, not on the image surface. So you simply need to right click on the file and go to "Properties" you will see the file size, date, and even GPS location if the photo was taken on a Smartphone.

Hihi! love your video and detailed info. I tried vlogging with this camera and realized that the footages are so shaky and unstable. I already use it with a tripod grip and I also wasn't shaking as well when vlogging. Is there any settings to fix the stabilization?

The problem is that a good mechanical stabilizer is almost just as expensive as the camera itself. However the DJI Ronin-SC - Camera Stabilizer, does an amazing job. You can also buy mechanical gravity based stabilizers for under a hundred dollars, but they are heavy, and make you tired really fast.

This is a really informative video. Do you know if there is any way to disable the video rec button? (the physical one next to the 'menu' button) It's so close to the thumb grip that I find myself pressing it accidentally quite often, and end up having movie recordings I didn't know about nor want.

@@TECHNOLOGYTIPS101 Thank you for your reply. I found the section in the manual you pointed out. Turns out it is actually possible to even completely disable the button. Unfortunately it doesn't work for all shooting modes; only for M, Av, Tv and P. I don't understand why they wouldn't make it available for all modes. 🤔 I'm still a newbie at all this, so I quite often use the Landscape mode, Sports mode for fast moving targets, and the Macro mode for extreme close-ups. In these modes, reassigning the rec button has no effect at all. I wouldn't even know where to begin to create those modes on my own using the parameters in manual mode. If it's even possible. Guess I'm just going to have to live with it. 😢 Thank you for trying to help though, much appreciated. 😃

I don't see any ports and I also checked the manual and it doesn't mention existence of any type of an external mic option. You need either a SanDisk or Samsung 16GB, or 32GB SD Memory Card. If you are shooting High Definition Videos Make sure it is the fast speed with 100mb/s write speed.

Hello I am using canon eos m200 for 1 year now but recently I have a problem with the shutter curtains. Everytime I take photo it will close. When I record a video it's ok. Do you know what's the cause? Thank you!

So the Shutter is only supposed to stay open momentarily to allow light to enter the the lens and expose the sensor or film. Depending on what speed you choose it will only stay open for that amount of time. For example if you choose the speed of 30 it will stay open 1/30 of a second. However when you shoot videos the shutter stays open throughout your video shooting and only closes when you stop shooting video.

So, the date stamp on photos was something that older 35mm film cameras used to have. The newer Digital Cameras have all the date information on the digital image file. To see that on a Windows PC, you will need to right-click on each individual photo and choose properties. You can later digitally add visual date and time using a photo editing app like Corel Photo-Paint or Adobe PhotoShop.
