Great suggestion! I'm actually thinking of trying to alter a Ritz gown so I could wear it for more than just photos. I'll keep you posted.

Ugh you have the most stunning taste! I got this dress in the Louis toile. What I did was added a vintage petite bow brooch and it has this lovely lapis stone in the center. I pinned it around where you did as I agree far too low for my taste. And made the front bow a detachable bow with both a hair clip and pin so I can wear it either in front or in the back as well as in my hair.

I bought the Cotswolds Marie dress. It fits perfectly, but of course shows more cleavage than I would like. I bought a light pink satin camisol with lace trim to wear under the dress and it totally looks like it came with the dress! Cleavage problem solved!

Perfect solution! I did something similar and bought the Tempest Basque by Bettie Page in a soft peach color and it was the perfect garment, really looked like it was part of the dress!

if you didn't alter it yet, take the bow out, carefully. close the front so it's more modest, and sow the bow on a broch. so if you want it, you can attach it. or maybe put it on a hat or a purse. :) endless options with a broch

A lovely feminine gown love it and like how you can do the bow at the front off the gown adore the colour as iam thinking the price would be high id will check out the link iam not very tall lady the height and size love to have it in my wardrobe if i can sort out the price tag and the height Donna
