UNBOXING & REVIEW of the Bonnlo Kayak Cart Carrier

After trying to carry our kayaks to the launch areas we decided that we needed an easier way. Especially with the kids and gear we need to bring with us. So after getting some birthday money from Farmor and a budget of $100 we purchased the Bonnlo Kayak Cart Carrier off of Amazon. The only big issue we have is that our tandem kayaks are wide and the included strap only works with the cart if it's placed all the way towards the stern. Placing the cart that far back makes it hard to hold up the kayak to wheel, so we found some replacement straps and moved the cart to a better spot.

I got one. It came with no instructions. Some come with very poor, incomprehensible instructions. 'Chinglish'. I got it wrong a few times and I was near sending it back. The kayak would slide off of it or it would just fold up and collapse. But once I figured out a few steps to secure it better on the kayak, I just loved it. Still do. 1. Place the cart, with the stand opened, beside the center of the kayak at an angle (and with the stand facing towards the bow) so that when we lift and swing the stern over it, it will be aligned on the cart. 2. Look along under the keel from the stern or bow to double check if the cart is centered on the keel. Adjust kayak accordingly, if needed. 3. Close/fold back the stand, if needed, so that all 4 corners of the stand will be touching the hull. 4. Drop the strap on the ground under the front of the cart so that equal lengths of it are on each side of the kayak. Loop each end of the strap twice around the 2 upper front corners of the cart. 5. Put each strap end through the kayak's side carry handles and connect and tighten both ends of the strap to each other on top of the kayak. 6. Make sure the stand is up or closed so it doesn't trip over obstacles or fold the cart. 7. A second strap securing the rear upper corners of the cart to the kayak, and also running through the kayak's side handles, helps a lot. 8. Ready to roll and good to go! Works every time for me. I lost the pins for this cart. Do you know the size of the pin?

Take your cart to the hardware store and they will fit them. Probably 1/4" or 5/16" pretty cheap and easily obtained. I can see that would be a negative in the design though.

Harborfreight sells pins also. Just bring it with you.
