Kayak Cart Showdown: Amazon Knockoff vs. Yak Attack's TowNStow

I really really wish people would show the loading process coming in off the water at a ramp with all your stuff in the kayak. That’s when I find it to be problematic.

Pro tip here.. install straps/tie downs on the cart. My c-tug came with them. While your kayak is still in the bed.. pull the kayak out to where the spot you attach the cart is between the bed and bed extender. Use the straps to pull the part snug to the bottom, strap it. Remove the extended piece or just the lift the kayak up/around the extender. Done. I’ve got a Crew, LT1, CK1 with a C-tug with the rail conversion. Getting the yak attack cart for my next one for sure!

I have the gandfindx and it's honestly great for the money, especially since I have a big boat and dont need to adjust the width.

Put loop straps on the cart and you can adjust the cart position while under the kayak.

Hey Jeff, Maybe this is just too obvious or maybe it won't work. How about swapping out the two nuts that need the wrench to a couple more thumb nuts like the other two. That way you could tighten them down without a tool and loosen them off as well to break down the cart.

Totally, the only reason we didn't was because this was an unboxing/as is comparison. Next up we can totally modify the cheap cart. Thanks for pointing that out

I agree with your statement that the larger wheel diameter makes rolling across uneven terrain easier than it would be with small wheels, but something you failed to mention is wheel/tire width. Those tall wheels are so narrow that they will more readily sink into soft surfaces such as mud, sand, fine gravel and, of course, snow. You WILL be kayaking in the snow, right? That's why some carts offer a "beach" wheel/tire option that has a wider footprint. Your bicycle analogy works here as well. How easy is it to ride your skinny tire bike through loose beach sand? I also think that the kickstand feature will be used far less frequently than expected. After a few times of reaching below your kayak to access them, it won't be convenient.

Can the bunkster be used without the kickstand with one end sticking up like the other cart and the wilderness systems cart? The kickstands seem like they could be annoying in some situations
