so i ordered this monitor. PROS: very sleek, thin design, very light weight. *feels* edge to edge even though it isnt. It's brilliant (not as crisp as, say, a high resolution retina display on a mac.. you can still see pixels).. I like it better than my 32 inch LG which was twice the price but no matter the adjustments or driver software never gave me true whites or blacks (it also looked grainy all the time) CONS: not adjustable height! whyyyy?? Also, if you want to mount it you have to buy a special attachment bc it doesn't actually have the pre-drilled VESA pattern on the back of it... there's actually nothing pre-fabricated to mount it. think of that extra $25 in mounting attachment accessories if you're looking for that. ALSO: no built-in speakers. oh the price we pay for slim design. note: i am not a gamer. i use my display for screen real estate because i am a self-loathing academic who needs to spread out my documents and do multiple split screens.
@MrMroliversmith4 жыл бұрын
Hey s g, thanks for the contribution! Glad you like it better than your LG. You're spot on about the mounting, height adjustment and speakers - if these things are important, this monitor is not for you. Don't self-loathe! Love the fabulous, helpful, intelligent woman that you quite clearly are :)

Lol! Just seeing your comment now Gerko 😆 Thank you so much for your feedback! I fear that maybe this video was a fluke - would anyone really be interested in me reviewing random stuff? Plus most videos are really professional and I can't compete with that! But it was really good fun to do and I'm so glad people found it useful. Maybe I'll just do one more....

Hey folks, should I make another video? This unboxing was WAAAAAY more popular than I ever expected and I have recently bought more gear. - Dell G5 SE - A budget gaming laptop with serious power - LG Gram 16 - A mobile powerhouse - 2019 13" MacBook Pro vs LG Gram vs Dell G5 - MX Master 3 - A lovely mouse - Microsoft Designer Compact Keyboard - No idea, only ordered it 10 mins ago - Oculus Quest 2 - Mindblowing and infuriating - Everything - All the above, life, the universe and everything - Nothing - I'm a one hit wonder. For those who have found this video, I now have the 27" and 32" models and the screen is more of a "matte" feel on the 27 and the 32 feels like a plastic "glass" feel. This might back up the call-out in the video about how it's not really anti-glare in the 32".

Hi Oliver, still enjoying your monitor? Was thinking of getting one... I won’t do any gaming on it, maybe the odd retro type game.. My main use is KZbin, Microsoft Excel viewing my family photos Facebook etc etc Good for all these things???
@MrMroliversmith3 жыл бұрын
Yes Wayne, I am still enjoying my monitor very much! I just bought a new laptop with a 144hz screen. I honestly can't tell the difference the refresh rate makes. The human eye works at about 25hz so the 60hz of this monitor is more than enough. The only time I would recommend something else is if you sit close to your monitor (less than 1 metre) you might want a higher resolution than the 1080p this monitor does. Other than that, it's perfect for Excel, FaceBook, KZbin etc. Just bear in mind it doesn't have speakers (because it's so thin).
@WayneMusicianUK3 жыл бұрын
@@MrMroliversmith thanks matey.. I sit around 1.5 metres away from my current BenQ M2400HD, it’s only a 24 inch model and a 1080P

Hello Oliver, thank you for the video. The specs say that it is 20.06 inches high from base stand to top of screen. Do you know if that is accurate? I have a hutch on top of my desk and I am playing with centimeters at this point. Thank you in advance, Mate.
@MrMroliversmith4 жыл бұрын
Mine is precisely 50cm from base to top (which is a snatch under 20inches) so you should be ok so long as they are consistent :)
