I think this is only a digital problem. People that grew up with analogue music experienced the loss of quality when music became digital and are very aware of it. Great video keep up the good work.

Hi - I recommend you use the RME ADI-2 remote software with this unit to make all adjustments much easier...and not need the manual for much anymore. Lots of KZbin tutorials on the topic.

Thanks so much dude. I'm doing some acoustic measurement for studio and commercial builds. Question is... I'm using a Presonus PRE1 mic, do you think the mic vs. the DAC is going to make a huge difference. Or should I bite bullet and get an Eartworks?

Hey, I don’t record with any mics but only work with virtual instruments in my daw. Will this suit my purpose? Does it have better low latency asio drivers than asio4all and flexasio for recording through a midi keyboard? Or is an audio interface better?

glad I found your channel, great videos and reviews! When producing a track 100% in the box, would you suggest using a dedicated DAC (like the RME ADI-2 ProFS) or an audio interface like a Focusrite Clarett+?
@ju1ceaudio
@ju1ceaudio 4 ай бұрын
Thanks you that means alot to me! Hmm when just producing the focusright is good enough. I would recommend this for critical listening as well as hifi.
@davidallanmusic
@davidallanmusic 4 ай бұрын
I made that exact upgrade and I'd say it was worth it. BTW you can run the line output of the clarett into the RME input which will give you a mic pre or guitar input.

Do you just hook this straight to your computer? I'm getting the Kali 8's...do I need an audio interface? I also have a sub plus I'm getting a pair of mix cubes..how do I hook all this sh*t up lol.. Do I need a monitor controller..I'm lost as hell
@supadave422
@supadave422 3 күн бұрын
Yes you plug the USB directly into your computer, You would need another interface if you get the cheaper model he spoke about with no inputs. This only has one set of balanced outs so you can only use one set of monitors at a time if you use a monitor controller you may end up changing the color/tonality of the signal you get from the RME. Hope this helps bro
@ThePhotographyPivot

@ thanks I'm thinking about getting the R..my current set up in the symphony desktop...kali audio, sub..Focal alpha 80 and one mixcube routed all thru the Drawmer...I want to add it because I want to bring the Kali's out more since I mix on those...what's your suggestions..
@supadave422
@supadave422 3 күн бұрын
@@ThePhotographyPivot Honestly I'm thinking of getting the cheaper model without the inputs for the same reason you are cause I have the Kali's IN-8 V2's as well and want to maximize the imaging and bro said the cheaper version sounds the same. Since you already have the Apogee I would get the cheaper RME model without the inputs unless your using it for mastering cause you can just create an aggregate device on your mac with the audio midi utility (its not hard) so you can use the inputs of the symphony and the outputs of the RME at the same time in your DAW.
@ThePhotographyPivot

@ where does the Drawmer come in...I have all my monitors going out of it...I really appreciate you!!
@supadave422
@supadave422 3 күн бұрын
@@ThePhotographyPivot I wasn't familiar with the Drawmer so I looked up the reviews on Sweetwater and someone said that unit rolls off the top end meaning if you use the Drawmer with the RME you will likely sacrifice the quality of sound from the RME. In order to get the most of the RME you would want to ditch the Drawmer and plug the Kali's directly into the RME with high quality balanced XLR cables.

Hello good man. I want to ask you. I'm in a dilemma right now. I have the following equipment. Yamaha MG10XU Mixer, 2 HS8 Monitors + HS8S Subwoofer, MSI-Vector Laptop with 13gen Intel core i9 13980hx, +Thunderboot 4 output, I think the graphics card doesn't matter as well as the SSD, the chipset itself. I am considering the purchase of a DAC and settled on the RME ADI-2 Pro FS. I'm hesitating about what interface to get to improve the sound. I mainly use my studio for guitar recordings and listening to quality music. What would you advise me about DAC and is it worth investing in? Or just get a good audio interface. Thank you very much!
@ju1ceaudio
@ju1ceaudio Ай бұрын
This Dac is for high end mixing or mastering. So if you just use hs8s you wont hear much of a difference. So i wouldn't recommend this in this situation.

@Kipprthedawg
@Kipprthedawg 2 ай бұрын
4th gen scarlets now come with rednet converters which only come in 3db of dynamic range under the RME at 120db / 123db of dynamic range. . For the budget, cant beat it. The clarett sounds even better but definitely imparts a sound and isnt as nuetral, but with the same / better dynamic range specs. The biggest difference is gonna be the drivers. RME is know for ROCK SOLID drivers, but if you dont necessarily need or care, you can get a scarlett solo 4th gen for $149 with almost the same dynamic range specs on the DA conversion

Having listened to many interfaces and the RME, I can tell you it’s like someone with a foggy vision wearing glasses for the first time… reverbs are crisp and distinct, music sound like detailed layers, percussion/drums are snappier, it makes mixing easier….Imagining is much wider and bass is tighter and controlled…not to mention dynamics are suddenly a thing!

@ Maybe if you had an old version of UAD Apollo before, yes. Not saying anything is wrong with the RMEx its solid, and I like it alot but the difference is not big compared to the ones (crane song, apogee etc) I had before, if any in fact.
