First of all a Happy New Year Dave. I'm glad you mentioned the Datsun 510, and especially the proportions of the body. SLOTIT has nailed it with their version of this car. As a huge REVOSLOT fan, I find it almost “sacrilege” to say but their version of the 510 and especially the Alfa Romeo GTA are a bit caricatured. This compares to Revo's modern cars like the Porsche GT2, Corvette C5R and the Lister Storm which are just perfect! Revoslot will no doubt have a good reason for this, and again I am not criticizing this brand, I just noted it. As an amateur modeler, I know all too well that you have to make concessions to get the final result of your model right.

Happy new year Dave! And thank you for what you do! 100% agree with your rant! Although I would include Scalextric also, they are producing cars that look real, they do not look like toys anymore and when your charging 60/70 dollars for a car, I think maybe they could have parts for said cars! Just my opinion!

The 05 sierra is an Australian Race car .But it is a british Ford Sierra.The mobil Rover might also be a Car that ran at Bathurst .

According the figures I could find the Dimensions on the real 510 were 95.3 " Wheel base ,163 " Length,61.4 Wide , 56" Tall , so those convert to 2.978 WB, 5.09375 L, 1.91875 W, and 1.75 H. in case anyone wants measure the cars for which is closer to the real car.

Just measured my Revo , it came out to 2.98 WB, 4.924 L, 2.023 at the doors and 2.166 at the flares W, 1.49 H so that pretty much confirms Dave's slammed comment .

I don't know who's in charge of the adverts surrounding Dave's KZbin slot but the language in the advert I just watched is unacceptable and takes away from what Dave is doing and from our hobby in general. I have put in a complaint to KZbin/Google and I apologise to Dave who in my opinion is doing a great job and to you guys for your comments, observations, and informative questions and answers.

@@SlotCarNewsOfficial I totally get that, and understand, but at the same time I don't want my kids or grand kids to be watching a KZbin Chanel that ( incidentally I like and enjoy very much ) on slot car toys and be greeted by an advert that is totally in the wrong place. Im not kidding when I say the F word was used 4/5 times within matter of seconds and I just don't like or need that in my life. sorry if my rant offends anyone that is not my intention but if nobody says anything then this language can become executable and it really isn't.
