@HandymanLand How long do you leave the dehumidifier on for? Also, it started at a 90 then gradually went down over time, does that mean it's registering the temprature in the room as it sucks out the moisture? Thanks for the video, it was really helpful!

I loved your clear video ( and the chickens!) I inherited this unit when I bought my house. It worked for a while but is now flashing E5 and I can't figure out what this means. Help?
@HandymanLand
@HandymanLand Ай бұрын
E5 is the error code that the unit needs to be drained. There is too much water in the unit. In my unit, I point out where you can drain the unit. Once you drain the unit, it should go back to its normal working order. Hope I was able to help and thank you for watching.

Hello, thank you for the video, I still don’t know if I’m using the dehumidifier right. Do I just turn it on and let it do it’s thing or should I adjust it to a specific temperature. I’m trying to fight off mildew from poor ventilation.
@HandymanLand
@HandymanLand 9 ай бұрын
Yes, just let it do its thing. Press the mode button. Until the "green LED" is on dry. It should automatically read the humidity in the room. As the unit does it's thing you should see that number dropping. Bringing the humidity level down in the room. Thank you for watching.🙂👍

Hi, This particular unit only is AC , fan, and a Dehemidifier. It doesn't have a heating feature. Not sure how big your she shed is? But I am currently heating one of my 200 square feet workshops with a Lasko CT16670 digital heater. Runs about $45 or $65. And it's working great. I was planning on doing a review video on it as well. Hope this information helps you. Thank you for watching. 👍

Should the exhaust pipe be connected while using the dry mode? I have a small basement window that us not compatible to the mount. Please advise. Thanks
@HandymanLand
@HandymanLand 18 күн бұрын
@flyintl007 If you're only using the dehumidifier mode. There is no need for exhaust pipe. The exhaust pipe is only for AC. If you have a drain in the basement, then you can use the rubber holes they provide. This way, you can run the dehumidifier and not need to empty the unit when full. Thanks for watching.

Good video. I was wondering if you've had to deal with any issues yet? I have one that works but I'm not getting any cool air out.Can you replace the coolant? Any ideas would be appreciated.
@HandymanLand
@HandymanLand Ай бұрын
As of now , I haven't had any issues. I've haven't plugged it in this year, but that's my goal next week. With the proper gages and hoses.Yes you can replace the coolant. But you will have to check the pressure first in the unit. Before doing anything else, if it doesn't hold pressure, then you have a bad o-ring of some sort. But if the unit isn't that old, then you shouldn't need to put coolant. Might be another issue. I had a unit that was over 15 years old and was still doing its job. Never needed any maintenance. Other than keeping the screen clean. I gave it up because it wasn't energy efficient. Thanks for watching.

After watching your great video, we ended up purchasing the SereneLife SLPAC14 A/C. First of all, we purchase this brand because of what we thought would be GREAT FEATURES! Not so!! #1, The panel did not have a latch for ease of connection, but a toggle bolt. #2, the hose was separated by the connectors and the hose “KEEPS FALLING: OFF” when we move the unit.. even after I PLACED DUCT TAPE over it…#3. I called Customer Service on 06/25 and explained my great disappointment to them. I finally got an email with ticket number on 7/5 asking for more info and address. #4 Never received a confirmation on the status of shipment. #5. 7/15, I had to call Customer Service to Parts #. They never shipped the items… now it’s in their list. Unbelievable!! Bottom Line…. I personally would not ORDER from them again on ANY of their Product Line!!

This unit does not have a heater. It has a dehemidifier. It will store water until a certain point. Once it's full, an error code will appear. If you want to let it run all night, then you use the hose to drain in the nearest drain. Hope I answered your question. Thanks for watching.

Does this unit automatically completely shut off when the set temperature is reached or does the compressor only shut off while the fan stays on?
@HandymanLand
@HandymanLand 6 ай бұрын
When the room reaches the desired temperature, the compressor shuts off. The unit will continue running to. Maintain the room at that temperature. But if it drops too much, the compressor kicks back on again to get it back to the desired temperature. Hope I have answered your question. Thank you for watching.👍

@HandymanLand thanks for the reply. That's weird. I just bought the Serenelife SLPAC10 and whenever it reaches the desires temperature, the compressor kicks off and the fan stays on, BUT after a couple of minutes, the fan also turns off until the temperature goes up again, then the unit turns on again. This drives me crazy because the difference in sound wakes me up! It is so annoying and there doesn't seem to be a way to disable this. My previous hisense portable a/c did the same thing whereas all the other a/cs I've owned would always keep the fan on...

@@HandymanLand How would the drain hose get cleaned out? Is it safe to remove the back panneling of the AC for cleaning? Thank you for the tip!
@HandymanLand
@HandymanLand Ай бұрын
@dripgodbear If the drain hose is dirty, you can let it sit in a bucket of twenty-five percent bleach and seventy-five percent water. Let it set for a few hours or until you're satisfied. Just be safe about it.Eye protection and gloves. And then run it under the spit or outside water hose. As for the back cover, I've haven't needed to do it.So i'm not sure how to do it. But i'm pretty sure it's just clips and screws holding it.
