Unboxing Series - Elegal Shoemaker

Here we take a look at Vietnamese shoemaker, Thinh Nguyen aka Elegal Shoemaker in my latest unboxing video.
Elegal Shoemaker is a fairly new shoemaker on the scene, working as a solo artist pumping out Blake stitched/Mckay and Goodyear welted shoes for under $300.
Running solely off of Facebook and Instagram, Thinh has made a little name for himself selling to many of the aficionados there. The shoes are solid and well-made. Like many new brands that hit the industry, I do believe that there are things to work on, but nonetheless, stacked up against 95% of the shoes in the world that sell for only $250, I would take these in a heartbeat.

Great review...I really like the patina work from Elegal too. There are others doing comparable construction and materials but to add in the hand dyed patina too and the cost still at $250 is quite remarkable.

TY Justin for the unboxing. I've chatted with him over email about buying a pair of his shoes but have not done so yet because I haven't had great luck with fit when I buy from makers that don't accept returns. And while I really like the strap loafer and patina combo from Elegal, I havent pulled the trigger yet. He seems like a good guy and I am sure I'll order a pair at some point.

Sorry I did not pay for mine so cannot answer this to be honest. But there are people on Facebook that have/show his shoes and most likely paid. When he said pay via Facebook he might have meant a link via messenger etc. as I do not believe he has a Facebook shop set up

I thought it was a woman running this brand--One who does a lot of wild patinas. either way, good looking for the price. Always concerned about crust, especially at this price (I know you have different opinions about that). But, otherwise, if you told me this was a high-end italian designer brand, I'd believe you.
