Thanks for taking the time out to do this, after struggling for 3/4hr trying to make sense of the brackets I thought I bet someone on KZbin has posted a video on the construction and quickly came across yours. It's easy once you know how isn't it lol.

I'm glad they have changed the top bit since we bought one as a pigeon got its foot caught on our old version. The arms at the top had a gap between the main pole that it's foot got stuck in. It was hanging upside down and Richard thought it was dead, though fortunately it wasn't. Thamkully we were able to rescue it, though it always had a limp afterwards. Enjoy the birds!

Thank you so much for this video! I got a similar bird feeding station months ago, which came with no instructions, and I got so frustrated I couldn't fit those curly bits around the pole! Until now, with your help! Birdies are loving their little bath in this heat. Thank you! 🥰

We had a bird feeder station identical to this one last month. A bear dragged the entire thing away one night. He managed to drag the whole thing over our 4 foot fence, and we followed the trail of mangled parts well over 100 yards from the house! We now have put individual solid steel 92” shepherd’s hooks out, but still bring the feeders in at night.

This was so entertaining and genuinely instructive. I found it because I am having trouble assembling a similar unit. Quite baffling, those lower 'slip-on' bits. and your video is most helpful. Shall watch many of your others - you explain well and have great charm. Might even grow something other than dandelions! I've found that sometimes birds will ignore a new feeder - or even a freshly filled old one - for days, or sometimes be all over it before you;ve got through the back door.

Not bad for cheapo bird feeder!! There are issues it depends on where you live size of garden, My understanding its best against a boundary hedge or fence for protecting it from high winds, I know some people who set the pole in concrete, Which then gives extra height if you have patrolling cats in the area? Put a small rubber ball into the water dish to prevent frost damage!! I personally feel on this feeder as to many fat ball feeders? The open tray seed tray is not weather protected from rain? I would get rid and buy a conventional mesh feeder with a descent wide lid, I recommend cleaning all feeders once a fortnight regardless of what food is left over especially if peanuts is used as they are prone to a killer mold which is deadly for small birds, For washing i use 5% solution of white vinegar in a spray bottle after washing and allow to dry and adding more food!! Hope some of these tips helps!!! 🤔😊🇬🇧👍

Very good !! didn’t no about the nets around the fat balls as I have just got the exactly the same bird feeder today, and was going to make it up tomorrow morning and put it in my garden.. but now I will be cutting the nets off first before I put the feeder together .. Thanks and stay safe 🌈

I recently had one of these put it up wasnt happy with base so I put it up on a post with some cable ties and it's alot more stable now 😂 mine gets raided by squirrels and pigeons and I find myself refilling it to often.

Hi Erica, You could try putting the bottom of the top piece in a cup of boiling water to soften plastic/rubber to make it easier to push in?

@@ericaslittlewelshgarden Hi Erica, If you soften it (heat) and then tap it in with a mallot/brick - I am sure it will go in. You may need to take the top piece off and put it on a firm serface to be able to knock it in.

I've got one of those bird feeding stations and because of how cold it gets the plastic dish will crack mine did so I put a tin dish in it so the birds still get a drink

Fab feeding station. 1 trick I use to keep it stable when it's subject to gusting wind is a paving slab with a hole drilled in the centre just big enough to fit the feeding station tube through. Once through the hole and pushed into the ground it's extremely stable. 👍
