Idk if you have one yet, but you should totally get a face turning octahedron. They are actualy a fairly solid challenge to wrap your head around and can be quite fun

If the circle cube is too easy for you, try out the witeden super 3x3x3. It's a 3x3 where only the white and yellow face have a circle which is locked and they can't turn if the circle isn't complete

I wonder if you ever changed your mind on the FTO. Personally, the FTO is my favorite non WCA puzzle. It solves almost like a mixture of a 5x5, a jing's pyraminx and a 3x3. Its a ton of fun to solve and there are people who produce 3d printed variants which are amazing for speed solving. I have a stickered version with magnets but they are now making stickerless wiith a core magnetic setup. I really wish a company would mass produce these because maybe the wca would consider adding it as an event.

I recommend the MF3RS as a beginners cube or get a rubiks brand and get Home Depot lube called jig a loo (if you have it) and lube it with it and it becomes very fast

When I started, there were only Rubik's brand cubes and Eastsheen cubes. Cubing was NOT fun with those.

You should really stop cutting toward yourself with knives. I know it hasn't happened yet and probably never will. But as i saw in the beginning. You got the blade stuck in the tape, and you had to force it out. That's exactly why you cut away from yourself. Because when you do that cutting away from yourself, you don't risk slicing your other hand that's about 1/4 away from it.
