I ordered my copy and I am excited to give them a crack. I love ancient games but sadly not many people seem to play big ancient games so maybe skirmish style will help encourage more pickup. Love those Celtic archers

I'm 95% sure that the "new Warlord Resin" is SioCast, which is a PVC injection-molding solution. I.E., what Reaper uses for its Bones USA line and what Creature Caster has started using for their "recyclable resin" (there's no such thing as recyclable resin, it's actually either polyvinyl or polyethylene).

Not even sure where to start here. First, I need me some Romans! Love ancient historicals. These minis looks really good with nice detail. Will you guys be doing a let's play? Not sure how complex it is. Lastly, what about expansion minis? When you were flipping through the rules book, my eyes lit up when I saw a Scorpio team listed... as well as Greeks....

I am looking forward to learning to play this Game. Having played historical battles in the past...OK DISTANT past, I was always overwhelmed with the volume of rules for what boils down to mostly hand-to-hand combat. This game appears to have much simpler game mechanics which is great for the person like me not wanting to invest a lifetime in one game system.

The game does look interesting, although I don't I'll get the starter set, I may get the rulebook. And why don't the Romans come with square bases? It's much easier to have them in their tight formations if you use square bases.

Oh dear, the Romans of great Ceaser, Cato, Macro, Flabious Maximus burnt toast, cheaper coffee, the Eagle and the Wolves, a Boudicca Britons trained as Auxiliary troops fighting other Brits, compliment that with the battle scene near the start of the Eagle, oh swords and pilums, red or blue tunics, am I crossing the river in Britain or the Rubicon.

Nice. A bit too many mustaches though. Most gauls of that era would have been clean shaven or had full beards. The mustache was oriental fashion at the time. AFAIK, we only have evidence for Galatian celts with mustaches, not Gauls. The modern "barbarian mustache" meme is mostly from 19th century paintings and sculptures that used 19th century fashion. A bit like the norse "horned helmets".

Its a great value box set. But BE CAREFUL you assemble the Romans exactly as the picture on the box set, as there is little room for error.
