Your tank is beautiful. The new hardware looks awesome, so sleek.

Thank you! The glass ones definitely blend in more in the tank, but only when they're freshly cleaned. They got dirty very quickly and ended up only looking nice right after I was done cleaning. Plus, I was always afraid of breaking them until eventually one of them did break.

Hey there, did you find the steel pipes lasted? I'm worried about them rusting...

Hey, nice video. How did you make it spinning ? What filter do you have connected? Mine barely spins so not sure how to set it properly. Thx.

Where did you get the brackets that hold the stainless pipes to the rim of your tank?
@julianaquascaped Жыл бұрын
They come with the pipes (shown in the video)

Looks great. Quality and craftsmanship is excellent 👍👍. Will get a set of this for my Eheim pro4+600.

Unfortunately it seems Aqualexs has stopped selling them on their website, but I linked to a Dymax model that is very similar in the video description (Dymax is highly reviewed by others and probably of better quality but I’ve not used it myself yet.)
@bibo86554 жыл бұрын
@@julianaquascaped hoping the dymax model is as good. Thank you for the heads-up.

@@bibo8655 Let me know what you think! I was bummed to see the Aqualexs ones disappear and I’ll need new ones for another tank eventually!

where do you get these do you have the link

Unfortunately this exact model isn't available anymore (seems the company stopped selling them), but I linked to similar ones in the description!

Thank you for the upload. Looks great. I have certainly looked into these set-ups, but remain concerned the flow is not suitable for betta fish :(

Not being a jerk, just curious. Why do you run a hang on back filter and a canister filter? I have big predatory fish that are pretty messy. But my hang on back systems I run seem to keep it just as clear as yours with just one filter. Thanks for you knowledge and input.

Explain your plumbing please! Where are the metal pipes connected to? I also see you have a HOB filter, are you using a heater at all?
@julianaquascaped3 жыл бұрын
Hey! The metal pipes are connected to an external canister filter underneath the tank. I am not using HOB anymore because it wasn’t really necessary. And yes I do have a heater in the aquarium.

Heey im searching for a stainless steel lily pipe and i was wondering if you had a problem with your shrimps and the skimmer. Do you have a feeling that some of the shrimps get in the skimmer?
@julianaquascaped4 жыл бұрын
I've definitely found shrimp (alive) in my filter since getting the skimmer. I've seen people place some filter floss or sponge in the skimmer to keep the shrimp out. I haven't tried that yet, though.

heyy 👋🏽 love your videos , do you prefer the stainless steel lily pipe over the glass ones ? and have they rusted ? its been 2 months since you've posted this video and i read that they rust in about 3 months , please do an update :)
@julianaquascaped4 жыл бұрын
Hi, thank you! I have a big backlog of videos to edit and more things to record but unfortunately work has kept me too busy. I definitely prefer the stainless steel to the glass ones for one major reason: the glass ones only look nice and clean for a day or two tops after cleaning before they start getting brown/green gunk in them that looks terrible and defeats the purpose of the “blending in to the aquascape” look folks want from glass. Plus the steel ones won’t shatter all over your floor and potentially in your tank if you apply too much pressure to them. As for rust, that is something I was wary of, especially in buying the not highest end brand, but I haven’t notice any rusting on them so far!

I do not, sorry. I’m not near the tank right now or I would measure them.

How to make my skimmer spin like urs ?? Haha.. need very powerful suction?
@julianaquascaped3 жыл бұрын
Ha! I think it was spinning because of the surface agitation from the HOB filter, because I've since removed it and I don't think it spins anymore.

Aluminium much better than the glass lily type,I broke mine the glass is obviously not a long term option
@aliffibrahim7593 жыл бұрын
Seeing how you twisted that glass lily pipe to get it off is like asking for it break and cut your hand..that’s not the way to handle glass lily pipe..never grab it or twist it by the curve (U) part because that it’s the weakest part of the lily pipe same goes to the glass inlet.
