The reason it won't work for Turtle's is because the game forces movement with stick not dpad, and most joysticks nowadays use dpad as the sticks inputs. It's a game developer aspect thay they shouldve been able to use dpad OR stick. but some joysticks do have a switch to enable it as dpad or stick also

In your “Arcade Test” section of the review, it looks like the controller didn’t work in-game because the in-game controls only had movement with the left stick, whereas menu navigation was set to both left stick and d-pad. Changing the in-game controls to move with d-pad would probably resolve the movement issue.

I had to look into the Hori site to find out why things weren't working and why it was only working with specific games. It turns out the stick is actually the Dpad. There are also a ton of missing functions as well. Most people won't be able to tell right out of the box and that's what most of my videos cover in order to help the average consumer. It is suggested to have a standard fully functional controller along with this. I wouldn't recommend it after a lot more research. It's just far too limited for the price.

Remember you covered the one for the switch back when you started the channel but for the ps5 version I believe it’s not worth and expensive

Can this controller handle rough gaming or would it be too fragile??? Do you recommend buying it?
@RedBandanaGaming3 күн бұрын
I returned it. I think that should answer your question. There are much better options out there. I'm looking into better ones myself.

I love my 8bitdo arcade stick. Hori looks cool. I just desperately want Virtua Fighter 6 to exist.

One question does it work good for street fighter 30th anniversary
@RedBandanaGaming2 ай бұрын
Honestly, I returned it. It wasn't working for multiple games that I bought it for. I also only have SF 30 on Switch.

It should work, I have the PS4 version of the Hori Mini, it's working fine on the game on a PS5 , main difference is the buttons on top (PS button, Options, L3, R3, etc). What you have to be aware of is that the lever of most arcade sticks replaces the D-Pad, not the Left Analog Stick on your regular controller (Although some Arcade sticks have the option of changing), so if you're getting this for fighting games (Street Fighter, KoF, Tekken, VF, MK) you should be fine. Back to the question, SF 30th should run absolutely fine with this, worst case scenario you just might have to remap the buttons to pull up the menu and the game's own 'Start' button.

Depends what you play. If you play games like Tekken, Soul Calibur etc (3D fighters) the square gate is the way to go. If you play 2D fighters square gate is the only answer.
