Dark den is the only guy I know who is so calm and easy going to his pets he treats them like brothers and sisters there always looking so healthy and they usually don’t die from sickness just from the end of their lifespan !! what a great guy Edit : it’s amazing how tarantulas and some other spiders are so fast including there bolting but still not even a single chance of reaching a speed of a giant house spider HOW!!

Petko! I mentioned I was surprised you didn't have Incei before, as they are communal! I have seen a few really cool communal setups with a LOT of spiders. You can give them a very big space, and they will be like a colony and fill up the entire enclosure. So cool to watch.

Fear not tarantulas is a highly reputable vendor...i suggest finding a group on Facebook or reddit to help finding tarantulas in your area. I started with slings (i have 14 slings and 1 juvie) because i wanted to grow them up their whole lives (and babies are cute as fuck). You can find amazing deals on craigslist in most cities or large towns

Obts are fast, fierce and have a medically significant bite. By far the most defensive common hobby species. I recommend a terrestrial in the brachypelma or aphonopelma species personally but c. Cyaneopubescens are also excellent beginners that web amazingly. Research is your best friend

SHE/(he) was a true royalty co-operating with me but being the first T ive ever had and recently comming to my knowledge that they can be pretty quick made me tremble a little bit, but everything went perfect SHE/(he) is about 5cm from head to booty >.> beautifull colorations already. i was wondering her substrate is pretty dry, but not bonedry is that bad ? and is it wise to feed her right after rehousing or wait a day?

I have a NI commune. They have been together two years. They all have their own burrows and territory and they are absolutely fine. I think they work better having their own hides than sharing, I believe they fight to dominate the space if they share! I have had no problems, no deaths and they stand over each other when moulting to protect them! They stoke each other’s legs when they meet. I have observed some very strange behaviours for spiders. They did all arrive in one pot though. I was told they would kill each other once rehoused and I rehoused them all with no issues that was six months ago. There is a greedy one but they all get along!

Hey there, I have a queastion because I also wanna have some spiders. When I buy a sling, do I have to put them in a little enclosure first (is it neccessary?) or can I just pu them in their final enclosure? Don't wanna move them around so much because I won't have them crawling around my room when they escape xD

I have 2 N. incei het gd slings since about one year, had a third trinidat olive one, which sadly died while molding. But none of those three seem to dig, i rehoused the two i still have recently and gave them a lot more substrate then they had before, because i also read they would dig alot. Still just sitting under the corkbark and webbing the surrounding area :p Oh, and i keep them seperate due to the different outcomes on communal builds. Curious on how your ones will behave (and hoping for the best!)
