Looking forward to the review, i am looking at upgrading from SV48. I have read that it requires a field flattener>?

I don't think you require it. I've used 102Ed without flattener for a long time, didn't need it for most part. My recommendation would be to buy the scope and then try it out without flattener, if you are happy with it then no need to get flattener. But if you want to improve it further, go for a flattener.

@@AstroOnBudget I'm currently looking to purchase a refractor for AP, but am put off by the cost of the "better" ones. Svbony has a new years special with this telescope plus the flattener for $499, so really want to see how it performs, and your opinion of it. Thank you for doing these videos.

@@grortyphx I can tell you that this scope is worth buying if you are on budget. I checked it for Chromatic Abberation and It has performed very well! It does push above its weight!
