Got mine yesterday, it's ace! Going on my first proper run on it tomorrow, I'm not a 'biker' or by any means, it's been years since I've last been on a BMX tbh :) But I've been having seizures so had to revoke my drivers licence.... this will just give me some sense of freedom (and help my mental health after being stuck in the house for 6 months, ON TOP of the pandemic). Basically just using cycle lanes to go to the shops and the park near to where we live, etc. Been amazed by the quality of the bike for the price, but also the service service/response time of Eskute too. Finally a discount code gave me £60 off and also the estimated delivery time was 5-8 days (we're in the UK), it arrived in 3.... crazy! Really impressed so far.

You can effectively remove the limiter on this bike by changing the wheel size in the settings to 16 inch. Even though this will mean that the MPH will be incorrect on the speedometer.

​@@legendarypigeon6418 Not massively but the motor does not cut out which is nice. Actually I would recommend doing this by taking the part off where the battery lock is, three screws where the battery connects and it pops off easy. Then pull out the controller which has two white wires attached to each other, break that connection and the bike is unlocked. This is vrey easy to do and a better solution than the software one above.

​@@legendarypigeon6418 The throttle cuts when you reach a 25kmph because of EU laws (I Think). Then it kicks back in when your speed drops. Removing the limiter does not give you much extra speed but you can have the throttle down constantly if you like.

Mine came with a black part with an orange port that plugs into another orange port in the middle of the handlebars. What is this for? Doesn't mention this part anywhere in the manual and can't find anything about it.

That's the optional throttle, you've probably installed it or thrown it away, but for the next person you can install it by removing the right handlebar grip, sliding the optional throttle on, and then sliding on the smaller handlebar grip.

Bike looks great, does it comply fully with the EU/UK Electric bicycle laws. I thought that legal bikes were not allowed to have a hand throttle. Maybe this has changed?

trust me the police have better things to do than to check every person on a bike for a throttle i own bikes that might as well be mopeds as long as your not riding around weaving on the roads or speeding on a pavement they are not going to bat an eyelid respect other people and ride safely you will be fine. just dont make it obvious you got one if someone reports you then they will follow up on it if they have no reason too then they wont bother with you.

If your worried leave the throttle off on public roads but I seen on embn that there are bike trails you can prob use throttle on them eay to fit

Throttle is only legal if it's used as walk-assist (maximum 4 mph). Otherwise the motor may only be operated as pedal-assist.

@@Maldini009 I did 20km on mine today and it had about 50% charge left. It changes depending on how hard you are pushing the motor though so was showing 25% at points.

I received my new Eskute Wayfarer bike just yesterday. I drove it today for the 1st time, and although I find it an awesome Ebike (it really is!), I can't seem to get it to 6th or 7th gear? It keeps flipping back to 5th or lower. Any ideas on this perhaps ?

yeah you can you might not even need to im not the fittest guy in the world with just the pedal assist its piss easy i ride 8 miles to work dont even break a sweat takes me half hour too and im quicker than the guy i know to drives to work from the same distance whiles hes stuck in traffic i just move around it i could prpbably get there in less time if i really went for it but i take my time

Rode this bike for about 3 months before it fully died on me on a straight road! Tried contacting customer support and they were useless and rude! Basically took my money and gave me a faulty bike, my frame also had no protector shield inside of it for all the wires. Not worth £1000 at all

Guys you build amazing bikes for an unbeatable price, but here are some tips, from someone who does social media/content creation for a living: 1. You do not need music through the whole video, especially if its a video explaining the assembly of a bike. People are more interested in what you say. Keep the music for the beginning and for the end. 2. Get a proper microphone to improve the audio quality. Especially for non native english speakers this plays a big role. Budget mics with cable are available on amazon as cheap as 30 euros/pounds and would already offer a huge quality improvement. 3. Place timestamps on the video, highlighting the single steps so its easier for your clients to follow the video. 4. Keep the camera steady on one position, only zooming or cutting in when it is necessary, the camera does not have to walk around with the presenter. Since we want to know how to assemble the bike. 5. Not mandatory, but some infographics/lower thirds giving additional information while your filming would be nice - e.g listing the tools you need to build the bike etc. All in all, great bikes! but improve some of the video ;-)

ima you may not use this bike in the EU because of the 0 position, bike whit throttle and no need to pedaling are strictly forbidden. be aware of problems whit the authority's when driving this bike on public roads !!!!!🛑🚳

The Throttle is optional, plus it depends on which EU country you are.
