Unboxing the best dampers for TT-02? Yeah Racing Shock Gear 55mm Damper Set for 1/10 RC Touring Cars

I'll be talking about the Yeah Racing Shock Gear set in the TT-02 dampers video. I have used these in the TT-02RR build. The unboxing and assembly footage were all within one of the build videos. So I thought I should do a separate unboxing video for them.

I purchased both the 50mm and 55mm shocks from Yeah Racing. Both are very nice and a good value overall. Both sets leaked and required replacement bladders from Tamiya(read in a review and used exact part number). The second issue was with the 55mm set. The springs included were so short that the collars had to be screwed entirely down to create any spring tension. I purchased a set of springs to fix this problem. Overall they are great quality, but required extra parts.

@ronaldgandia6048 what spring set did you buy, was it the spring set for the QUTUS 50 55MM Damper made by Yeah?

I have a set of Yeah Racing dampers, they seem really nice. They aren't cheap, but seem like really a good product. I'm about to buy more dampers for another project, might go for theirs again. Nice little video unboxing, I'll watch out for your build video also.

How do you mount these shocks on a Stock TT02? The TT02 friction shocks use self tapping screws, how do you mount these?

May I know what difference will it make for a 50mm and 55mm option, please? When should I use 50mm or 55mm? Thank you.

I can't speak for the $100+ TRF dampers but Shock Gears are definitely better than the CVA Super-Minis. It has a lot more tuning options.

By far the worst thing ive put on my Tamiya is yeah racing shocks. there terrible ! save your money and buy TRF ones.
