If anyone is watching. The parts o these kits are junk. Butter, bend even during use on some components without hitting anything. Spend more for decent brand components.

Do you recommend the tt01 or tt02? I’ve had TV’s for many years but always bought rate. Now I’d like to try building one.
@RCsRCCars8 күн бұрын
TT-02 is a better chassis, easier to build, lots of body styles and hop-up parts. The only exception are the TT-01E Eurotrucks. Those are fun.

What else would I need besides this kit to build a complete car? Looking to do my first build.
@RCsRCCars8 күн бұрын
You will need a motor, ESC, servo, transmitter, receiver, battery and charger for the chassis. You will also need a body and paint. If you bought a Tamiya kit with a body, it comes with the ESC and motor. Then you would only need a servo, transmitter, receiver, battery, charger and paint.
@RCsRCCars8 күн бұрын
I would recommend buying a Tamiya kit so you get the chance to build it yourself. You can look at my other video on the Tamiya Fine Spec RC System which comes with almost everything you'll need in one box. I made a video about it here. kzbin.info/www/bejne/aYvJoWV4a6h6gsU The electronics are not the greatest but it's perfect for a first kit. Don't forget to look for paint for polycarbonate (PS).

I'm currently modifying a WLToys RC car to a robot and to me the performance at the lower end (up to 20% throttle) is the most important, because I don't want the robot to go so fast. I noticed that cheap ESC often have very low PWM frequency like just 1kHz, which produces a very loud whine and causes a huge power loss at the lower RPM range. Are there known brushed ESCs that go well past 10kHz PWM so it's not audible at low rpm? Since I don't know if anything better is available for that, I decided to design my own ESC with 40kHz PWM which should enable an extremely accurate and responsive control with good efficiency at low RPM range.

I can't for the life of me make the ball bearing go into the hub. I've reviewed the instructions multiple times and I can't see what im doing wrong. The ball bearing seems to be marginally bigger than the clearance in the hub. Did you have to do anything to make the bearing fit?
@jersak22Ай бұрын
Nevermind, turns out i used the wrong bearings on the driveshaft that were supposed to be the ones for the hubs.

How do you think they will compare with Rlaarlo XTS-F10? (with or without their 190 mm conversion kit) 🙂
@RCsRCCarsАй бұрын
It’s hard to compare a $300 purpose built RTR and a $130 kit. Maybe compare the Rlaarlo to a Traxxas Rally. Either way the XTS-F10 looks like a great value.

Very impressive video, then I bought the R12S based on your video, but the size was not quite right, the aperture seemed larger than the TT02's 48mm. if you know how to figure it please let me know. Thanks a lot.

Novice here. Should the TT-02 get a 180 or 270 degree servo?
@RCsRCCarsАй бұрын
Either one would be fine as long as you set the end points properly. You don't want the servo to overextend the rest of the steering assembly. Refer to your transmitter/receiver manual on how to set the end points. I hope that helps.

i think i would have put the body on the car/top of posts then measured the gap between the tire and wheel well arch with calipers then subtract the gap you want and add back how much you want sticking out the top then cut the posts down by that much.

Great video but I still have to say, to start the project I take an ultra fine sharpie and mark all the cut lines on all the parts to be cut (on the over spray side of coarse), then proceed to cut and define shapes as desired then wash the inside thoroughly. Then take sharpie and define all lines needed to be masked. Because even with the best paint the stress you put on the plastic while cutting could scratch or chip the paint inside if cutting out after paint.
