I use the knee lift for raising & lowering the presser foot !!! Useful when you need both hands to hold the fabric.

The knee lift is a very handy feature. When moving around lots of fabric, its always great to have both hands working together. Let the knee do something to help.

I've never used the knee lift or the presser feet. I only use the stop/go and speed adjuster on the front of the machine.

It's awesome that the option exists. For some projects I only use the foot pedal and on others I only use the stop/go button. I like to keep my options open.

I was taught the industrial methods of sewing so I and all my students use the knee lift and extension table as well for professional sewing.

I love that you taught your students to use the knee lift. I think if I had started from the beginning using the KL I would incorporated it into all my sewing. Perhaps I might go back and start using it. Thanks for giving me food for thought.

@@ShawnNorthcutt2011 also note, the sewing machine cabinets back in the 1950s (and today) have always been ergonomically INcorrect. The needle of the sewing machine should be in the middle of your chest when you sit in front of the machine. You will find cabinets that were made all these years were poorly designed and the needle of the machine is always to the left of the operator. Hence why most people prefer having their machines sit on top of a cabinet and have an extension table attached to their machine or having a custom table made so their machine can recess in the table and always be able to have their machine sit properly in front of them.

It's nice, but waaay too much Disney that would never be used. I wish brother would put some other prettier and more useful designs in it. I can buy a Disney design elsewhere if It's needed.
