One suggestion I would have for these bikes and watching what you do with them is to change the axles from quick release to a t through axle as the are stronger esp with a free wheel.

This would not be a bad mid mtb it has decent parts. Nothing is tourney and the disc brakes aren’t too bad. I’m not sure about the quality of the frame but the wheels are good as well. For the price good deal.
