@coaltrain2299 absolutely not maybe back in 2011 to 14 till the ps4 came out and we weren't limited to 864to864 block worlds and only limited to aquatic update mojang could have easily supported the Ps3/360 versions till 1.15 maybe even 1.16 if they somehow fit biomes into the 280to280 block nether

Fun fact: There is a very rare 2017 release of Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition by 4J Studios and that afaik didn't got a physical release and now only exists on the consoles of those who bought it on the eShop and haven't uninstalled it, since it can be installed alongside the current Bedrock edition release.

@@DeathThaGoat all legacy versions are the same thing but adapted to the architectures of the different systems, they're not bedrock. All old gen legacy edtions (ps3, 360, wii u and vita) were updated up until 1.13, while the other versions stopped at 1.12 (bar ps4) to make room for bugrock support.

@@DeathThaGoat vita looked worse because it ran at a lower resolution, being an underpowered handheld and at all, not to mention it also only had a 5 chunk render distance of sorts, with some other heavy optimizations down the line. Wii u im not so sure, it would seem strange for it to only render at 720p when the older gen consoles were fully capable of running it at 1080p with no issues whatsover. But what matters is they are all practically the same game, so much so that converting worlds between all versions is a complete breeze and produces no side effects, unlike java/bedrock conversions.

I say this because I own Legacy PS3 & PS4 and there's a noticeable resolution bump with better anti aliasing even with both set to 720p and 1080p

There was a version for Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition that runs Legacy Console Edition which came out in 2017, the same year Nintendo Switch came out, which then was replaced by Bedrock one year later.

minute 18:42: This is actually the Windows 10 version of Minecraft, as 3DS Minecraft does not have the capacity to run new versions of the game, and it (Minecraft for New 3DS) was discontinued in 2019, only in gameplay in the background it shows the updated nether, something that only happened in 2020. In the smoke gameplay it also shows that the guy used RTX, a feature that would never come out on a console like the 3DS since the console can't even run the new versions of the game, imagine with RTX, the thing would explode (literally)

yeah, but the game itself is pretty choppy, and the only way to get a gameplay video out of it is to either record the screen directly or buy a 3ds capture card mod, the first option will result in a pixelated mess, and the second one is very expensive, so i don´t blame them for doing it

I still own the PS4 disc version of Minecraft Story Mode, but it’s an old version of it that allows me to play episodes 1-5, but apparently 6-8 are still “coming soon”. It runs pretty well on my PS5.
